19. Beck
resorted to McCarthyism in attacking Jones. He called him a "commie"...quaint.

Ummm...  nope...  Jones did that himself.

25. Explain to us how Obama is a radical left socialist/communist?

Republicans can't have it both ways. If you choose to celebrate this you can't also claim the president is radical. According to your own logic, a true radical communist/socialist/marxist would never has asked for such a resignation, or accepted it.

Wrong.I guess logic is not one of your strong points. You do grouse well, though. I never said he wouldn't ask for a resignation. He did it purely out of political expediency. He has very little political capital left, and far short of what is needed for what's left of his agenda.

36. So he's still secretly a communist/marxist?

Amazing how he's never been in favor of a Single Payer system. And how we never nationalized the banks and opted to continue the Bush bailouts. And how he's just barely going to raise top marginal tax rates to still incredibly low levels by historical standards. And how we're still in Iraq and Afghanistan and we still have rendition and wiretapping.

As a Republican you should be thrilled that the left is growing more and more disenchanted. So which is it? How is it possible for the administration to do all of these right wing (at best "centrist") things resulting in disgust from the left yet the right pretends Obama is a radical leftist?

That's some alternate reality you live in!

1. After a week long expose, Obama was forced to throw Van the Quitter under the bus.

2. Beck continues to draw an ever-growing audience that already beats CNN and MSNBC combined in his slot.

3. He has more than enough advertising to sustain the show. Advertisers love big audiences.

I can't wait to see who Beck's next target is.

50. Except in my previous comment I pointed out just how center-right his actions have been.

You ignored that comment, unsurprisingly.

-What's "far to the left" about opting to continue the Bush bailouts instead of temporarily nationalizing and regulating the banks and busting up "too big to fail" banks? Nothing.

-What's "far to the left" about just barely raising top marginal tax rates to levels that are incredibly low by historical standards? Nothing.

-What's "far to the left" about wanting to "look forward" with regard to investing Bush Administration crimes? Or continuing to wiretap and continuing rendition? Or escalating in Afghanistan? Nothing.

You have no ground to stand on. You keep generically saying "logic fails you" or some variation, but FYI, just using the word logic doesn't make your arguments any more substantive or factually correct.

6. Remember Jimmy Carter?

I'm starting to think we've got a re-run of that administration, a bunch of out-of-town amateurs in the White House, without the slightest understanding of how the Presidency works, how this town works.

Bert Lance, Ham Jordan - those two come to mind immediately, mostly because they were thoroughly unequipped to deal with the power politics of Washington. Jordan's mishaps were mostly social, and the press corps loved him, but he was an embarrassment.

Remember Carter having his whole cabinet resign? No one ever understood what that was about.

And, of course, in an act of compassion for a man who had ruled like a monster for so long, with our backing, he let the Shah of Iran into the US for medical treatment. We all know how THAT worked out.

That's what Obama's White House is reminding me of more and more. A one-term Presidency doesn't seem impossible now.

January 20, 2009 seems like a very long time ago, and the feelings of that day more like a dream than any kind of reality.

I'm very disillusioned so far, and I hate to admit that..................................

I love how a "9/11 Troofer" is to be respected and given the benefit of the doubt, but a "Birth Certificate Troofer" is just a raging self-concerned delusional nutcase out to harm this "president".

I love it because we saw planes flying into the World Trade Center on live television.  We know the confessions of and boasting by the muslim cult members responsible.  We know the names of the Americans who died.

On the other hand, we don't even have a ghost of a public showing of that Obamo character's legitimate birth certificate.  All we REALLY know is he has spent millions of dollars trying to hide it.

Funny how up is down and down is up in the Little Goon World.

They don't want the wannabe's like Pelosi and REid that talk a good game about socialism but eventually cave when the people express outrage.

They wanted Obama to do exactly what he did...appoint people outside the purview of Congress,,,that would have direct influence and authority over policy and law...so they could implement an extremely agenda virtually under the radar.

But this is what I don't understand.

If someone accused one of our guys of being a suppply-side economists who wanted a strong military but minimal government social policy we'd cheer them on. Hell, I wish we could get one of our candidates accused of such things.

But these idiots can't even be proud of what they are even though they are rabid about it every other second of the day. 5 #$%^ing seconds of introspection would make it plain to them. I under stand lying to the masses in order to gain power and hold it but the masses don't/aren't allowed to frequent DU.

Why lie to yourself? What general in a war would assess his own situation as outnumbered and then--with no one else to answer to--tell himself he had the enemy surrounded just to assuage his own psyche?

Well, he didn't exactly nationalize the banking industry...but he came close with those bailouts. And he did--pretty much--nationalize the auto industry.

Not exactly "center-right."

Let nothing frighten you.

God never changes.

God alone suffices.

I'm beginning to think that unlike the calls for Bush's impeachment, there may actually be grounds for it, before long.

Wow.

Considering that you're AD at the moment, that's got to be a hard place for your mind to be.

Keep your head low, my friend.  :cheersmate:

BD, that DUmb**** forgets one thing . . . There has to be an actual crime comitted to properly do an impeachment.

How about the forced removal of a sitting CEO of a major corporation that had done nothing illeagle and the government had not right to remove? If nothing else a lawsuit should have been filed.
