I was born in IL but never lived in the town I was born in. My parents lived in N Il and went to central Il for Christmas and I decided to show up a month early...they ended up taking my mother to a town 25 miles away, where she did her nurse's training...because it was a bigger (from minute to small) hospital and we were both in a whole lot of trouble.

Lived in IL, SD, IA, back to IL, NE, VA, NC and finally to TN where I've been for 26 yrs.

Born in TX, then CO, KS, back to CO, OR, back to CO, TN, FL, and now WV.  I'm here til the kids are done with school, as long as Mr FLame still has a job, but I won't retire here.

For some reason, I thought you were in OH.

When my brother was trying out truck driving and I was riding along, he missed a sign and took an exit into downtown Scranton.. the sign said 'NO TRUCKS'. Then we were going around downtown Scranton where big trucks are mostly not allowed until we could get back on the highway. He is lucky not have gotten a ticket.

Well, since everybody else is naming the states they've lived in, I may as well too.

Born and raised in Nebraska, lived in Pennsylvania two years (after college), and then in New Jersey two years, and then back to Nebraska, and then the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants with free medical care for all for almost two years, and finally back to Nebraska.

I moved to Pennsylvania and New Jersey because that was where the bulk of the relatives--aunts, uncles, cousins--lived, and I wished to be around "family," much of my own having left this time and place.

My older brothers and sisters, who had been born, and partially raised, in western Long Island, really liked Nebraska, and had a mild distaste for the relatives.

I, born in Nebraska, as a lad always wanted to live in Pennsylvania or New Jersey or New York, because of relatives, and because Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York was "where it was at," cool places to live, surrounded by loving relatives.

Well, after those few years in the northeast, I decided the older brothers and sisters had been right; relatives are not all they're cracked up to be, and so I moved back to Nebraska.

Awright, I'll jump on the bandwagon:

Born in Detroit, raised in the 'burbs till 6 months after HS, then 20 years in the Army. During that time, I lived in Mass., Germany, Texas (for a VERY short time), back to Germany for almost 12 years that time, then back to Hellhole Mich. Then on to IL, TN, UT, OH, now in MO.

Planning a second retirement in TN.

Dolly will have deflated by the time we're ready for that. Plus, you're in the eastern time zone, which is problematical for me.

But I will give it some thought.

We must have been pretty close when I lived in TN...I was in the bitty "town" of Mt Carmel, near Kingsport.
