Well, since everybody else is naming the states they've lived in, I may as well too.
Born and raised in Nebraska, lived in Pennsylvania two years (after college), and then in New Jersey two years, and then back to Nebraska, and then the socialist paradises of the workers and peasants with free medical care for all for almost two years, and finally back to Nebraska.
I moved to Pennsylvania and New Jersey because that was where the bulk of the relatives--aunts, uncles, cousins--lived, and I wished to be around "family," much of my own having left this time and place.
My older brothers and sisters, who had been born, and partially raised, in western Long Island, really liked Nebraska, and had a mild distaste for the relatives.
I, born in Nebraska, as a lad always wanted to live in Pennsylvania or New Jersey or New York, because of relatives, and because Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York was "where it was at," cool places to live, surrounded by loving relatives.
Well, after those few years in the northeast, I decided the older brothers and sisters had been right; relatives are not all they're cracked up to be, and so I moved back to Nebraska.
