NOT VERY DAMNED MUCHMy father passed away in 1988 while I was stationed in Japan. My oldest son is stationed in Germany with the 173rd Abn Bde, we rarely ever hear from him and his family. I know he has his own life to live and his own family to care for.My two youngest sons live at home - the older of the two delivers newspapers in the morning and attends Vo-Tech using the GI Bill, while the youngest is in the Army Reserves and is currently at Fort Hunter-Liggett attending annual training. For me it's just another day of the year.
Father's day means little to me any more. I feel more like a "sperm donor" than a father nowadays.
