Imagine all the people getting health care free

ooooooh who oooh oooh oooh

Q&A of Mark Steyn on the Hugh Hewitt show (Mark Larson guest host)
Quote
Mark Larson: Now is that something that they’ve debated in the big confab at the White House today about health care? Are they looking at every possibility here, including sleepless nights? Because they’re creating plenty of them.

Mark Steyn:Well, I hope they get a sleepless night entitlement. That may be one of the things I’m eligible for. I don’t think that was high on the agenda, even for this government. But basically, when you’re spending $3.7 trillion dollars, there’s no reason why there shouldn’t be a $600 billion earmark for sleepless nights somewhere in there.

Reading the transcript of the show got me thinking. Let's say National Healthcare is here in the U.S. and the government makes you sick. (per the example) Now what, given our new "rights" every day approach? How does the government make you sick and what are you then entitled to?

I'll go first.  :-)

- This Administration is driving me to drink and if we stay the course, it will only get worse.

- I am entitled to my daily medicinal whiskey and a new liver every 10 years.

OK CC, your turn...

"When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion - when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing - when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors - when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you - when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice - you may know that your society is doomed."

Lip Balm............yeah, Lip Balm.....the gummint should pay my Lip Balm bill.

Because they've driven me to flicking my bottom lip with my finger making a blub....blub.....blub....blub ....sound. I know they're gonna eventually get chapped.

But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Every time the administration passes another stimulus or bailout bill, I feel compelled to scale back my own budget in anticipation of the taxes I'll be paying for the next 50 years to pay this all back.

As a result, I'm forced to listen to Diamondbacks games on the radio instead of being able to attend their games in person.

When I can't see them regularly in person, I get severely depressed.

I believe I'm entitled to season tickets to the Diamondbacks in order to keep my mental health stable and thriving.

I'm waiting the the cases of K-Y for all the buggering I'm having to endure...

oh shit...

BOHICA !!!!!
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
