I watched the speech (Jindal's).  While he was carefully coached, obviously, it was not that bad.  I believe it was rather positive.  He led me to believe that the republican party was undergoing a revolution.  While he clearly speaks much better when not rehearsed...I think he got his point across well.

While his speech was not horrible it was a bit tame.  Overall I was disappointed with it.

"Is Bobby Jindal going to have to choke a bitch?"

Srsly, I tried to find a picture of Gov. Jindal the other day for Breaking News.  Do you know how hard it is to find a picture of him that doesn't look weird or crazy?  Try it and see.

This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.

Okay, I couldn't hear the Jindal speech, of course, but I watched all of the videos.

Wretched Excess and SaintLouieWoman are right, but we all here already knew that, and we knew that way back to Sarah Palin.

From just watching, and not hearing, it seems to me that Jindal was unnatural, in the way people are not themselves when "handled" and "controlled" and "managed."

We HAVE to get rid of this system, and let our politicians be their natural selves.

I hope to God Palin, Jindal, Steele, &c., &c., &c., break away from that "management" and be themselves.

I didn't watch the speech.  I knew what Hopey McChangeSnorter was going to say, in a way.  I watched Syracuse trounce St. John's University in basketball (the first half--then I hit the hay).

the sound is better on MSNBC than foxnews.

Did you happen to catch Kiethy boy's little disgusted "OMG" when Jindal walked out?

I didn't watch...had no desire to.  I did catch about 5 seconds when I was chanign channels, and heard Barack saying something about "inherited deficit" and saw Pelosi cackling like a hyena in the background.  All I neededto see to know I was correct in my decision to not watch.

Tess, I saw that this morning on Fox.  Incredibly childish, unprofessional, and inappropriate.  It would be a firing offense if I owned that network.

Didn't watch much of the speech, as I could only take small doses.  Kept switching back and forth.  The only thing I have to add, is:  What was Nancy Pelosi thinking when she chose her outfit?  She looked like a giant piece of phlegm from a chainsmoker with bronchitis.  Hideous.

But you have to admit, she has her squat jumps down pretty good.  She must have done about 50 of those throughout the speech.  I couldn't help but laugh at how half way through Biden ws giving these side glances at her because she just looked like she was sitting on a hot plate.  Jump....UP!  Jump...UP!  Jump...UP!  She looked like a jack-in-the-box!

Nancy Pelosi was also freaking me out by the way she kept leaping up and down. She was reading some book every now and then, too, but at least she didn't say anything.

Looking at the government depressed me.

I think the MSM is out to destroy him. Stupid MSNBC: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/02/25/msnbc-introduction-gov-jindal-oh-god/

They are beyond corrupt. I've wondered if they're wanting us to think "jihadist" with those pictures, because his skin is "dark enough".

I think Bobby's biggest hurdle last night was his scripted response.  I think had he been able to respond more realistically it would have been more like this interview.  Let's face it, it is harder to be dynamic and thrilling when you are in a room full of the press and camera men with no real feedback than it is to be in a room full of people jumping up and applauding every 3 minutes on Pelosi's command.  Not to mention Obama is your quintessential snake oll salesman.  He chose politics as his venue.  He would have been successful as a Tony Robbins too.   Or even a JIm Jones.  He has that kind of speaking ability...at least to the masses.  Personally, for me he sounds like fingernails on a chalkboard.  There is something in his voice which grates against me almost violently.  I think it is the bullshit factor.

^ditto Tess! I managed to choke down part of it and was sorely disappointed in Jindal's response. But the deck was stacked against him for the reasons you mentioned.

It's time for the GOP to release the hounds.

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

No, it's time for the damn GOP to leave the hounds, like Jindal, the **** alone to do, act, and speak their damn minds. We've seen "GOP Handling". It doesn't f'n work. It killed Sarah's chances and her reputation. **** the GOP. Hopefully Steele can change my attitude.

There's a reason why patriotism is considered a conservative value. Watch a Tea Party rally and you'll see people proudly raising the American flag and showing pride in U.S. heroes such as Thomas Jefferson. Watch an OWS rally and you'll see people burning the American flag while showing pride in communist heroes such as Che Guevera. --Bob, from some news site

Maybe I should have said, it's time for us to release the hounds ON the GOP? :-)
