Sunday!
« on: February 15, 2009, 09:42:38 AM »
Morning!

I totally forgot that my lovely wife, this angel whom I clearly do not deserve made post-Valentines Day reservations for us at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse tonight!  :yahoo:

My absolute favorite "Chain" restaurant.

My eldest is feeling a little better and my wife seems to be holding out.  The flu sucks.

Whats up with your day o' resting?

Resting from yesterday's labors.  Spent the morning at the office and the afternoon working on a very large tree that fell during a recent storm.  In the process of the latter, I re-injured my back, so no work for me today.  Gonna watch the race and take it easy for a while.   :cheersmate:

Still have a 1/2 sick kiddo...fever spikes when the tylenol wears off, but he's OK if he stays medicated.  Mr Flame is continuing to build in the basement, and I plan on watching the Daytona 500 this afternoon.

Other than that, nothing much!

Been bringing her vitamin water and medicine all morning. Meh.

Took the children to rent our snowboards and tomorrow we hit the slopes. Afterward, stopped for a breakfast buffet. Now my belly is full and I am ready for a beer.Life is good. Now, if only I could find a good woman.............

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

We have one near, but we have never dined there.  Are they expensive?  I know Hannity raves about them.

You and the Missus can expect to spend $125-150, plus wine, tax, and tip.  Yes, expensive.  But SO worth it.  They had one in Irvine I liked to go to 2-3 times a year.  Basically it's all ala carte, but you and another 1-2 people can share a starch and vegetable.

We also shared the Shrimp Remolade appetizer, then got our own salads (if so inclined) and steaks.  The ribeye or filet will run you roughly $40-45 each.

Nothing going on here, aside from work.  Up at 4:30, at work by 6, home at 8 tonight.  Repeat until Friday, take Saturday off, then repeat again.

We ate there last year on Valentines Day and yeah, it was kinda steep, IIRC it was around $200 bucks or so but we had drinks and appetisers and I had cigars and brandy afterwards.

The steaks are UNBELEAVABLE.

I guess I'll start saving my nickles and dimes.  I've heard nothing but good about them.
