Good morning.
I spent the night with the three dogs in the same bedroom with me, doors shut.
The cats didn't like it at all, because the cats are used to all doors (excepting the bathroom) being opened for them to roam at will.
However, I had to keep the species separated.
The cats of course have full access to the cat litter box from anywhere in the house.
The dogs would have to wake me up to use the outdoor plumbing.
It was a rough night, the cats protesting, and the dogs confused.
We got some rain during the night, but the bulk of it's supposed to happen circa noon central time today. It's not so much the water from the skies; it's more that the snow and ice got partially melted last week, and there's so much of it, and so it won't take much moisture from the skies to melt that.
I dunno about anybody else, but in Nebraska, there's "watches" all along the Niobrara, Elkhorn, Loup, and Platte Rivers. Me, I live on high ground (which is why I have the dogs; the old guy across the river lives on low ground), so no problem, although it might become a problem if I have to go west or north of here.
Such is life. One accepts, adapts, and moves on.
