Michael Steele wins RNC chairmanship race
Former Maryland Lt. Governor to be first African-American chair

WASHINGTON - Former Maryland Lt. Gov. Michael Steele beat out South Carolina GOP chief Katon Dawson in the sixth round of voting at Fridays Republican National Committee meeting Friday, becoming the first African-American chairman of the party.

The two Republicans fought for the national party chairmanship Friday after Mike Duncan, former President George W. Bush's hand-picked national GOP chief, abandoned his re-election bid in the fact of dwindling support.

Duncan's departure ensured a fresh face at the beleaguered GOP's helm as Republicans seek to rebound from back-to-back defeats in national elections that gave Democrats control of Congress and the White House.

Coach, I see it too.  You don't attack someone that you don't consider to be a threat.  The ferocity of their attacks will sharply increase, which means that they fear him as much--maybe more--than they fear Sarah Palin.

By the way, I have to add that what the ukelele primitive said about his black friend is a stretchy.

The ukelele primitive's lied before.

What the ukelele primitive said his black friend said is what the ukelele primitive thinks his black friend would say, if there.

26. Good Lord. Could the GOP pander any more?
First Palin because they thought just having a woman on the ticket would equate having Hillary on the ticket.
Now an African American because the Obama is in the White House.

The whole thing is just so transparent.

The good that will probably come from this is that this will probably drive a lot of old school GOP members from the party. I can't wait to see how Limbaugh & Co. spin this.

Amazing how they're able to come up with all these racial epithets and stereotypes they claim conservatives/Republicans have towards minorities.  It's almost like they're the one's who use those terms all the time.

While the Republican party is a collection of people that have similar views on most subjects and what's best for America.

The democrat party is a collection of misfits that have views on only one subject, their personal agenda, and their own self-interest.
“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

Aren't they? But who'd know in the general public, given the see-no-evil, hear-no-evil and report-no-evil philosophy of the advocacy/adversary media.

Even when you guys win an election you're still petrified. That's what happens when you run on false pretenses. Your candidate ran like he was the second coming of Ronald Reagan. People bought the hype. Problem is, he can't deliver. Pretty rhetoric won't keep him from becoming the half black second coming of Jimmah. Thing is, he's starting to realize it too and it's delicious. He was hoping he could push through his socialist agenda before everyone found out. It ain't gonna happen. Suck it Dummies!

This stupid asshole can't see his own forest for the trees.  The last two Dem nominating fields was one huge pander-bear party... the last one was even worse than 2004.  You had every concieveable ethnic or sexual base covered.  No matter WHO got the nomination on their side, they went out of their way to make sure it wasn't going to be another white Christian heterosexual male (yeah, I'm lookin' at you, Breck Girl).  And it was so damned obvious, I'm surprised any rational person was able to take those fools seriously.

The Party needed a clean brake with the "Why can't we be friends" Republicans who flushed the WH and the Congess into the Dem. sewer. Who was the only candedate who was not a half Dem, has exec. exp., doesn't need a teleprompter to speek, is , in fact, quite bright, and is relatively "young"? LESSEE, there Michael Steele, and.......?

Race had nothing to do with hias selection, EXCEPT to give us all a chance to trot out the intollerant reaction of the phony liberals.  :innocent:
