Also, from what I've heard from www.thereligionofpeace.com, Muslim men are allowed to "repent" of their homosexuality and live. Muslim lesbians can "repent," but are still stoned to death.
I don't know of that for sure, but I know of a woman author that "went bhind the lines" who commented that it was as common among women over there as among men. The culture would force women to be more circumspect about it.
It is similar to the notion about women not talking to non-family men. All it does is create a ritual where they do communicate. For example, in the mall in Kuwait if you (you being a man who doesn't happen to have a muslim woman family member) notice a muslim woman following you this is what occurs:
1. You stop and lean against the wall with a rail near it for a minute, to mark the spot.
2. You move away and observe her move to that position. She will maintain it for about a minute and then walk away.
3. Walk back to that position and collect the piece of paper she left with her cell phone number.
4. Walk to a table in the coffee shop (she went there btw) call the cell phone number and strike up a conversation.
Please note for the above, she may seem to be coming on, but that is just muslim culture. Enjoy the conversation but don't expect anything more than that.
