Yes.  About 2 weeks ago.

Well, I am done belly aching. I had no wait and went right in. My child was placated with cookies and donuts.  The voting process in my counting is easy on one of the touchscreen systems--took all of 5 minutes. If I even hear crap about it being difficult... :whatever: All the pollworkers were pleasant, cordial, and just went about the business of doing their jobs. For those wondering if they are doing any checks...well, I have an older card from 2004(apparently they are updating or have updated them) and she asked if I had a newer one(I do not) and then she asked me for photo id as well and found me on the roster and there was my signature ready to matc h to the signature I had to do as I stood there verifying who I was.  While there are no extraordinary measures, I find Ohio to be a bit more rigorous when you check in anyway as compared to when I voted in Arizona several years back. I have to say, this is the time of day to vote.  :cheersmate:

I took the day off just to be able to go mid-morning when the crowds had thinned down a little.

Crowds? HAH!

This town of not quite 14K hasn't seen a crowd since 1868 when two trains collided.

It was no more than 5 minutes. Present ID, they checked their "book", found everything in order, gave me a ballot and a Sharpie, and I filled in the little ovals.

We don't need no stinkin' hangin' chads here in mid-Missouri.

I had done my homework and had my list with most - but not all - of my selections indicated on it. A couple of weird ones - the county sheriff ran opposed, as did the county tax assessor.

Somebody PLEASE tell me why the ******* CORONER has to be an elected official! Jeezus! What does this guy do, anyway, besides sign off on death certificates? He doesn't operate on cadavers because that's the medical examiner's job.

Anyway, there were two choices for that job.

Among my list of selections included several Democrats and a candidate from the Constitution Party.

I don't recall selecting anybody from the Green Party. Nope. No way.

Thx I was getting worried since I knew my guy couldn't handle a long wait today with how he was acting, especially since he'd already had one earlier in the day when his sister was at the dentist. The other half doesn't sound like he's in the mood for the lines he will meet later...I told him to go and stay since the process itself was quick and easy. We want him to vote peeps---he's a solid conservative voter and will be another vote for McCain.  :cheersmate: In fact before asdf posted the lady talking about the days of free gas and homes, he showed it to me before he left for work while we both did this--> :lmao:

Anyway, I'm done...time for my homework since its quiet for a bit more until the little one returns home again. Enjoy!

I did earlier . After I had to find out where our previous voting place had been moved to. Would be nice to know these things in advance since thew old place had been used since before 1977.

We voted!!! I made sure Mr. Belle had his instructions and then turned him loose on the paper ballots. :-)

Actually, the process was quite smooth. In and out in about 30 minutes. The poll workers were friendly and on top of things. They kept the lines moving and you could choose electronic or paper ballot. I chose paper because it was faster. I don't want to hear ANYONE from the libtarded side complain about ballots or access!!!!!

No, my friends, there’s only one really progressive idea. And that is the idea of legally limiting the power of the government. That one genuinely liberal, genuinely progressive idea — the Why in 1776, the How in 1787 — is what needs to be conserved. We need to conserve that fundamentally liberal idea. That is why we are conservatives. --Bill Whittle

Bosslady let the other half go early and he voted the R. He said it was starting to pick up there, but he was done in 10 minutes. I even had time to do my strength training already! Now on to studying. Thank God...hate watching this crap close out.
