Hurley, who votes in every election, is familiar with poll site etiquette. She knows not to wear campaign paraphernalia. She's never run into trouble before.

What, she asked, was wrong with her light blue cotton T-shirt, emblazoned with a moose head, fishing poles, and the words "Seward, Alaska"?

The word "Alaska," a poll worker answered.....

I'll bet you wouldn't be kicked out for wearing a vacation shirt from Delaware!

Of course .... who in their right mind would go to Delaware for a vacation?!   :mental:

One of the commenters had a good point....are they going to start turning away voters who are wearing red or blue next?

It seems as if the Texas poll workers are out of hand. I've read of instances where one can't even wear Cowboys paraphernalia to go vote. I sure wish that someone would file suit against these folks for civil rights violations. I can understand it if the garb had one of the people running for office's logo, campaign stuff on it, but seriously, it's out of hand.

Agreed, not allowing Cowboys or something that just says Alaska on it it seriously retarded.

According to the law you're just not allowed to wear anything that says the candidates name (or party affiliation) on it, beyond that is people overstepping the bounds.

I've seen Delaware.  You can't convince me they have beaches.  You might convince me they have BEACH but not beach(es).

i dunno, i think there's a lot of beetches in delaware... oh, you're referring to the coast, not the populace... never mind
