Probably; it is at least possible, though. The German armed forces were desperate for manpower in 1944 and 1945, any male not employed in a war-critical industry would have conscripted and been in uniform, generally in the Army. The
Bundeswehr was not established until German rearmament was permitted in 1956, and between about 1947 and stand-up of the BW, many 're-educated' German enlisted soldiers and young men coming of military age were allowed to join the US Army.
