"what don't you know, and how will you learn it?"  that could be an interesting question.

More than we buy from Kuwait, but it's small potatoes compared to Venequela.

Some of Europe's primary pipelines go through Georgia and Turkey.

If Russia gets control of the the pipeline, it will enable them to exert a great deal of control over eastern Europe.

He spewed a whole lot of crap and he never answered the question.... :thatsright:

And you're surprised at that?

He's not answering the last question either.

I disagree - This is an Obama-technique - everyone gets to take what they want from his answers, making everyone happy.

Obama... weak ending.

McCain always has good endings to his speeches.

I would be interested in knowing exactly how Obama got into those best schools.

There are a lot of people without means, who have incredible grades, who apply to Harvard, Yale, Princeton....and don't get in.

Did Obama get in to fill a minority quota?

Not being ugly....just curious.....

I think McCain ended strongly at least.  Obama shouldn't have gone with the "I've suffered too" approach.  Opened the door for McCain.

If one can look beyond the imagery ones mind puts into place (as the mind craves order, and will do all in its power to find it even where there is none) one can see the ink-blot test for what it is - a stained piece of paper. As is the typical Obama non-answer.

That was one ugly debate.

The recently-late David Foster Wallace followed John McCain's 2000 campaign as a Rolling Stone reporter.  An unabridged version is in his book "Consider the Lobster".  It's a lot of re-hashing the 2000 Bush/McCain GOP primary, but as far as McCain's personal style, I think it's a very interesting read.  I'm surprised the self-professed geniuses in the Democratic party haven't dissected it and torn it to shreds.

You can find the less interesting, shortened version on Rolling Stone's website under the title, "Up! Simba".

Weak, empty debate on both sides. Obama wins by default.

His typical white grandmother and her husband were well-connected.  Which is why I think his answer on healthcare (and using his dead mother as a political prop) was complete, utter, 100% phony bullshit.

McCain won the nat'l defense side of the debate hands down.

As far as the economic side, if the American people can ever grasp that "Hi, I'm from the gov't and I'm here to help you" equals economic slavery, and over time a loss of freedom, then they'll reject BHO.  But, having a nanny state is the easy way out, and way too often people want what they believe to be the "easy fix," especially when things aren't going great, and the "easy fix" is all the Obamassiah is selling.

Did anyone notice the way Obama pronounces "Taliban"....is almost exactly the same way that Harry Belafonte pronounced "tally man"?

Every time I've heard Obama say Taliban....I've wondered where I heard that pronunciation before....when I heard it tonight, I wasn't in the same room with the tv and it hit me....

Not important or relavant to the debate I know.....but just an observation.

"Provide financial assistance to help rebuild their economies"???  WTF??

everything BHO wants to do costs money.
most of what McCain wants, does not.
My fellow Americans, there is nothing audacious about hope. Hope is what makes people buy lottery tickets instead of paying the bills. Hope is for the old gals feeding the slots in Atlantic City. It destroys the inner-city kid who quits school because he hopes he'll be a world-famous recording artist.

What's the difference between Sarah Palin and Barack Obama?

One is a well turned-out, good-looking, and let's be honest, pretty sexy piece of eye-candy.

The other kills her own food.
