Drudge has the poll already...McCain 75, BO 21

Well, no surprise, PMSNBC has Obama winning, but the Drudge poll has about 19,000 more votes.

McCain will come up at least 5 points in the polls if not more by next week. When do the VPs battle it out?

first week in October I think

October 2, Thursday, in St Louis at Washington University. I'm going tomorrow to pick up tickets for a huge debate watching party at the auditorium at St Louis University. Palin will come there directly from the debate. Wooot!! Can't wait.

How cool, SLW! Take lots of pics. Can't wait to hear how it goes! :)

HA!!

everyone has seized on the

"I agree with Senator McCain" and the "What Senator Obama doesnt understand" soundbites. The only Obama positives that the talking heads are spinning is McCain is rooted in the past and Obama is looking to the future.

Im sorry but I don't buy the spin. The Dems are beating up Palin every day for lack of experience, while praising BO's lack of experience.

McCain was the clear winner - he mauled him. It had the professor v. student aura - Obama looked like he way in over his head, and I don't think he should have kept callin McCain "John" - he looked like a disrespectful teenager when he did that. He also interrupted him too much, and McCain got to say "naive" way too many times.

From what I saw/heard. I thought both did well.  Different in their own aspects, but well nonetheless.

Obama has to stop the "McCain is right..." at the beginning of an answer, that's a killer.

I think Obama could have hammered McCain on some aspects, but McCain did well hammering on to Obama.

Overall, I still say it's a tie, with McCain leaning to the win.

I noticed all the interruptions too. It was like, well...... like ya said, he was a spoiled teenager throwing a fit because his dad won't let him borrow the car.... it was great.

Of course that's what you're going to say.  :)

I didn't watch/listen to the whole thing.  I think it's a tie from what I saw.  It's not like this debate was going to change your or my vote.  :)

keith olbermann tried to accuse Sarah Palin of violating operation security when she said that her son was shipping out on a certain date . . . it turns out there was a public ceremony that was published in all of the local newspapers when her son shipped out.

so don't listen to teethless underman

Interesting quote from DU.

Quote
My personal (and unhappy) opinion is that the fact that it ended on National Security, with McCain speaking last and sounding all the right notes with regard to his "experience", the final outcome is that this debate gave a big edge to McCain among undecided voters.
"To those who cite the First Amendment as reason for excluding God from more and more of our institutions and everyday life, may I just say: The First Amendment of the Constitution was not written to protect the people of this country from religious values; it was written to protect religious values from government tyranny."
