He has since "taken it back" and said he has never seen the ad.  :whatever:

Quote
The McCain campaign immediately attacked Obama, invoking Biden's words. "Barack Obama has brought the sleazy gutter politics of Chicago to our national stage, exposing his call for a 'new politics' as a lie and embarrassing even his own running mate with the low road campaign he's running," said McCain-Palin spokesman Brian Rogers in a statement.

But in the statement issued by the Obama campaign, Biden said he had never seen the ad and only read press reports of it.

"Having now reviewed the ad, it is even more clear to me that given the disgraceful tenor of Senator McCain's ads and their persistent falsehoods, his campaign is in no position to criticize," Biden said in the statement.

What an idiot....Barack should have  just tied a big old rock around his neck and jumped into a lake....it would have had the same effect.

Im sure Biden had this 'change of heart' after a little gangland-style pressure from Team Obama.

Im thinking the brake-line from his car tied into a noose on the pillow instead.

Wouldn't work.  Biden's probably never seen a brake line in 30 years or more.  After all, he's a "common man" and rides Amtrak to and from work every day.  ::)

Looks like Joe Biden, in his interview with Katie Couric, was copying off the wrong classmate’s exam again. He said (video here):

Quote
“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘look, here’s what happened.’”

My recollection is that the stock market crash was in 1929. Two problems here: Television did not even exist in 1929, and FDR was elected in 1932, so he wasn’t even the leader at the time of the crash. When Joe was in history class, was he cheating by looking over the class dunce’s shoulder, or does he just make this stuff up? Of course, TV celebrity Katie Couric also didn’t note that Biden’s statement was doubly incorrect. Her goal was a softball puff piece.”

Why do you think they avoid teaching real history in the public schools.  Facts are anethema to them.  The truth is whatever they wish it to be.

Actually, Biden went to a pretty darn exclusive private Catholic school. He just, apparently ignored the history (and religion) teachers.

But if you get the entire paragraph (still up on CBS website), it's even MORE hilarious what he said:

Quote
Part of what being a leader does is to instill confidence is to demonstrate what he or she knows what they are talking about and to communicating to people ... this is how we can fix this," Biden said. "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'look, here's what happened.

And given that Slow Joe isn't shy about including his name among the top 2 or 3 smarterest people he knows, I'm surprised that there are even people left to post here, after the hospital ERs fill up with folks who've read his latest claim to brilliance.

Couric looked pretty agitated to the point that she believed she couldn't spin this bonehead's words into something positive for "The Party".

Perky Katie wincing: "Did Obama approve that ad? He said he did."
