The McCain campaign immediately attacked Obama, invoking Biden's words. "Barack Obama has brought the sleazy gutter politics of Chicago to our national stage, exposing his call for a 'new politics' as a lie and embarrassing even his own running mate with the low road campaign he's running," said McCain-Palin spokesman Brian Rogers in a statement. But in the statement issued by the Obama campaign, Biden said he had never seen the ad and only read press reports of it."Having now reviewed the ad, it is even more clear to me that given the disgraceful tenor of Senator McCain's ads and their persistent falsehoods, his campaign is in no position to criticize," Biden said in the statement.
He has since "taken it back" and said he has never seen the ad. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/the-trail/2008/09/22/biden_walks_back_comment_on_te.htmlQuoteThe McCain campaign immediately attacked Obama, invoking Biden's words. Damn, you would almost think he's a Rove plant the way he keeps sticking his foot in his mouth!
What an idiot....Barack should have just tied a big old rock around his neck and jumped into a lake....it would have had the same effect.

You s'pose Biden woke up this morning with the head of his favorite horse on the pillow next to his?

...And via reader Richard J:Michelle & Co. -Looks like Joe Biden, in his interview with Katie Couric, was copying off the wrong classmate’s exam again. He said (video here):Quote“When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn’t just talk about the princes of greed. He said, ‘look, here’s what happened.’â€My recollection is that the stock market crash was in 1929. Two problems here: Television did not even exist in 1929, and FDR was elected in 1932, so he wasn’t even the leader at the time of the crash. When Joe was in history class, was he cheating by looking over the class dunce’s shoulder, or does he just make this stuff up? Of course, TV celebrity Katie Couric also didn’t note that Biden’s statement was doubly incorrect. Her goal was a softball puff piece.â€

More genius from Biden here: http://michellemalkin.com/2008/09/23/the-gaffe-twins-strike-again/Quote ...And via reader Richard J:Michelle & Co. -Looks like Joe Biden, in his interview with Katie Couric, was copying off the wrong classmate’s exam again. Why do you think they avoid teaching real history in the public schools. Facts are anethema to them. The truth is whatever they wish it to be.
Part of what being a leader does is to instill confidence is to demonstrate what he or she knows what they are talking about and to communicating to people ... this is how we can fix this," Biden said. "When the stock market crashed, Franklin Roosevelt got on the television and didn't just talk about the princes of greed. He said, 'look, here's what happened.
But if you get the entire paragraph (still up on CBS website), it's even MORE hilarious what he said:QuotePart of what being a leader does is to instill confidence is to demonstrate what he or she knows what they are talking about and to communicating to people ... this is how we can fix this," Biden said.
