Perhaps the brilliant thing to do would be to not give away how they track the Iranian government leaders...

What revealed/claimed was how Israel pieced together habitual behavior - routes, traffic, timing. This may have been a quarter of the whole story. Not at all mentioned is how Israel and the US knew the who, when, and where of the fatal meeting. That's a far more valuable bit of information.
Now that the campaign is underway, remaining leaders won't be following their normal daily patterns, so even if Iran takes their traffic lights offline, not much will be lost to Israel, and the Iranians will have wasted time on a non-critical task.
