Breaking and developing:

A Border Patrol-involved-shooting occurred in Minneapolis on Saturday morning.

The shooting occurred as numerous agents struggled with an individual on the ground. Bystander video shows the agents wrestling with the subject before numerous shots are heard and the subject collapses.

Law enforcement sources have revealed that the suspect was allegedly armed at the time of the incident.

The subject has reportedly died. The individual received medical treatment at the scene and then was taken to the hospital. No further information about the subject has been released at this time.

A bit of an update with more details:

A tense scene is unfolding in Minneapolis this hour as a large mob is gathered at the scene of an alleged shooting involving U.S. Border Patrol.

It is being reported that U.S. Border Patrol agents shot an armed assailant who has reportedly died at the hospital. DHS officials reported that a firearm and loaded magazines were recovered, but further details of the events that led to the shooting are unknown at this time.

No local police have been seen, as state police and federal agents struggle to secure the scene of the shooting. Arrests have been made, and crowd control measures have been deployed as the mob of protesters has grown larger and more aggressive since the shooting occurred. State Police have declared the mob gathered in the area as an unlawful assembly as protesters throw rocks, water bottles, and other objects at federal agents.

Rhetoric matters, and the initial response from Minnesota's lame-duck governor has done more to fan the flames than to ease tensions.

I just spoke with the White House after another horrific shooting by federal agents this morning. Minnesota has had it. This is sickening.

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey added to the divisive rhetoric at a news conference, along with other city officials, demanding that federal agents leave the city and cease enforcing federal law. Frey seemed more interested in taking a political shot at Donald Trump than easing tensions at the scene.

The scene remains volatile as the mob continues to grow.

The U.S. Border Patrol Union reacted to the backlash online and slammed the media and politicians who ran with a narrative of “Border Patrol bad, protestor good” like trained monkeys who chatter gibberish at every trigger. With assaults on federal immigration officers up by 1,347%, it is extremely dangerous for them in places such as Minneapolis overrun with violent leftist activists. Naturally, that needs to violent confrontations.

The Department of Homeland Security says officers were trying to arrest a illegal alien wanted for violent assault when a protester approached with a handgun and violently resisted disarming.

The BP Union stated emphatically on X, “Border Patrol agents are trained extremely well to protect themselves, their fellow agents, and innocent third parties. When a supposed ‘peaceful’ protester brings a weapon (such as a loaded handgun) and brandishes it, there are going to severe consequences and repercussions.”

The strange thing is that not one single time in my life have I ever thought: Hey! There are some LEOs doing their job. Let me go over there and irritate the living shit out them OR BETTER YET let me interfere with them doing their jobs.

If the overlords running these shithole states and cities had any decency, they'd tell their minions...
(1) stay out of their way
(2) if you want to "protest", do it in a way so you don't block them or public traffic
(3) don't interfere with them because if you do our police will arrest you
(4) video them all that you'd like, but don't antagonize them
(5) if you catch them on video doing something that is illegal, bring it to us for us to handle

IF the overlords would do the above and IF they caught the agents on video doing something illegal, they're apt to actually have some rightwingers on their side, but the overlords won't do that because that wouldn't stir up things enough. I recently heard someone compare the interference the anti-ice protestors are doing to a scenario where Law Enforcement is responding to a bank robbery in progress but are blocked by people sympathetic to the bank robbers who park their cars across the road to prevent L.E. from apprehending the crooks.
