I've been working cripple for about 5 years now so I don't have much sympathy for the DUmmie.
Apparently mental issues are the go-to for SSDI claims now. A few years back, I did some work for an older lady who had had a massive heart attack and, afterward, a quadruple bypass. She said that she wasn't the same afterwards. She tried to get SSDI and was denied so she hired an attorney. The attorney told her that he could get her on SSDI easily if she would say that she had mental issues. It irked her and she told the lawyer that she didn't really have mental issues. What she really had was heart issues. I don't know how things finally worked out for her, but she was pretty adamant that she wasn't going to lie about nonexistent mental issues when she had a genuine issue.
