"I think the decision against affirmative action bodes ill for reparations."
You say that like it's a bad thing. It's not.
"Reparations will be an attempt to make a positive difference to correct historic wrongs."
Liar.
The push for reparations is really only driven by two motivations: Greed for free money, and a spiteful, vindictive desire to "Stick it to" white people as revenge for something done centuries ago by people who happened to have the same skin color as them. If that were not the case, then the people demanding reparations wouldn't be demanding them from ALL whites including those whose ancestors never owned slaves.
"It seems the road to racial justice has just been pointed up a hill, how long it takes for the arc in the terrain (sensu MLKjr) to flatten that challenge remains an unknown."
Don't you dare bring up Dr. King. If you were around in his day, you'd have happily joined the Black Panthers/ Nation of Islam crowd in calling him and his followers "Chumps" and "Uncle Toms" because they sought racial harmony rather than black supremacy (Hence why I find it VERY hard to believe that he'd be in favor of reparations), and used peaceful resistance tactics rather than active violence.
