It is more likely to get me to vote at all.

For the first time in forever, I skipped the primary this year and I am still ready and willing to not vote for Juan if he starts to backslide into Marxism-Lite.

I don't know why but the GOP has become a cesspool of sleazy "can't-we-all-just-get-along" wuss-men who are constantly apologizing for having a third leg.

Look, if you got something between your legs that is a bit dangly and hard at appropriate times, be a man.  Or chop it off and be Dem.  But don't be sending me mails soliciting contributions.

I respond to leadership, not poll-following whining fearism.

Like I should be afraid of an American-hating radical little Dumbo-eared weasel like Barrack Milhous Obama?  What has happened to the GOP?

I think my rage against McCain was pretty well established back during the primaries. My major bones that I was picking were his Gang of 14 antics and shamnesty.

Before I was voting AGAINST Obama.

Now I'm voting FOR a candidate. Not only am I pleased with her conservative credentials I think she'll serve as a rightist center-of-gravity for boss.

if he wins, then she is the presumptive frontrunner for the nomination in 2012 or 2016.
Great point!  Now that's an argument in favor of voting for Jaun.  We need more of this not just the whining about "not voting for McCainez means you're voting for Obama" because, as pointed out for years by Rush, it is the candidate's job to give you reasons to vote for him and a potential President Palin, that's a pretty good reason at this point in time.

Come to think of it, unions do create jobs. Companies have to hire two workers to do the work of one.

I was going to sit it out this year.

I still don't like him.

Doesn't that make things easier for Obama though?

Yes it does. I was going to be one of those holding their nose and voting for McCain, but really like Palin. We saw them both at the big rally in the StLouis area Sunday. People really were energized.

Now I can vote for McCain with more enthusiasm.

McCain had huge liabilities with people like me.   The Palin pick pretty much erased them.   In effect, Choosing her was proof that he really was who he said he was.    I had intense doubts about that.  I thought he was a poser and a charlatan.

What Republicans want in a leader is an in your face fighter jock who will stand with his friends.  Palin delivered the message he could do that.

So Palin drove a stake through the heart of most of our objections.  It was risky, it was brave, it was a finger to the sneering elites.

It was a huge gamble that the sneering elites would actually be as stupid as they usually are.   Palin was a tar baby for all the things we hate theme for.  They fell for it and destroyed themselves.  So in addition to being risky, it was also brilliant.

Lets face it, they had all kinds of issues they could have talked about.  Did they talk about energy?  NO, they were more interested in Bristol.  they said she had no international experience.  Turns out she had a lot to do with the gas pipeline going through Canada, and she had to deal with all kinds of delicate negotiations because of the way Canada does things.   And she has constant dealings with the Russians.  So they couldn't fact check, because they were too busy making fun of her hair.

No civilized man likes to see a woman ganged up on.  I think Sarah and John both knew what was coming, were hoping it would play out the way it did, and succeeded beyond their wildest expectations.  She is a hockey fan, lets not forget.  but still... Civilized people don't behave the way the press and the Obamites behave.

Anyway, the Palin pick was good not only because she is the goods, but it answers most of the objections to McCain himself.
