Well, I've seen the kids of liberals doing some really wild stuff at the behest of their parents and their ideology, but that's not what this is about.  It's about conservatives doing something.

Anti-maskers encourage kids to burn face coverings at Idaho Capitol

Cheering parents watched as children tossed surgical masks into a fire outside the Idaho Capitol in Boise on Saturday as more than 100 people gathered to protest mask mandates as an affront to their civil liberties.

The rally was one of several held statewide in opposition to the coronavirus-related requirements, which health experts have said remain crucial even as vaccines are distributed and the number of new reported cases has dropped.

8. Children have died of COVID you idiots and what terrible role models the parents are !

Probably evangelical church participants who deny science.

Now here is where I have to ask a question.  Does a mask really matter?  From this website; https://www.statista.com/statistics/1109004/coronavirus-covid19-cases-rate-us-americans-by-state/

Quote
Rate of U.S. coronavirus (COVID-19) cases as of March 8, 2021, by state
Published by John Elflein, Mar 8, 2021
As of March 8, 2021, the state with the highest rate of COVID-19 cases was North Dakota, followed by South Dakota. Almost 29 million cases have been reported across the United States, with the states of California, Texas, Florida, and New York reporting the highest numbers of infections.

Texas and Florida have never really been using the masks.  I know in Texas some folks did it for a bit, but it pretty much went away.

From that site I see;

TX  9.3%
NJ  9.2%
FL  9.1%
CA 9.1%
NY 8.7%

Those stats are from yesterday.  From bottom to top a difference of 0.6%.

Out of those 5 picks, 3 of them are heavy handed on the mask thing and 2 are not.  So is 0.6% really worth all of the fighting that is going on?

Just wondering.

Idaho's cases-per-million-population is 17th worst in the US, by the numbers here, https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/us/ . OTOH, only 8 states have lower deaths-per-million-population than Idaho. The context for these numbers, from the WashPost article, is:

Idaho Gov. Brad Little, a Republican, has never implemented a statewide mask requirement, though nearly a dozen areas of the state have local restrictions, including Boise.

Probably evangelical church participants who deny science.

The WashPost article mentions state Representatives Dorothy Moon and Heather Scott. Both have degrees in the sciences. One has been a teacher. Neither, in W'pedia or in their campaign websites mention any religious upbringing or affiliation. Scott's campaign website states that she supports religious freedom and is Pro-Life, but without reference to any religion.

IRL, my Evangelical church has not had indoor services for a year, and a very few by-reservation (= limited numbers) outdoor services. I'm not aware of anyone in the church who denies or minimizes the reality and seriousness of Covid - I certainly do not - though with (pre-Covid) 2000-3000 weekly attendance at two campuses and 6 or 7 services, I don't know everyone. Kimberly needs to burn her stereotypes and actually get to know some mainstream Evangelicals. Were she to do so she'd find we are far more varied and complex than her cardboard cut-out stereotype.
If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.

Reminds me of these quacks going nuts over TX & MS rescinding their mask policy when there were 17 states that never mandated a mask policy, including FL. If you were to believe the kooks, it was the Wild West here, which was not the case. Most people were very respectful of others, and people who were scared stayed inside and away from others, as they should have.

Liberals are so used to lying to themselves and others they can’t fathom that normal people see right through them.
