I've never heard of an audit on regular SS benefits

5. Supplemental he is disabled,70 and wouldn't be able to get his bank statements without help

They only gave him till Feb 5 the notice came today

The biggest expenditure is for his group home rent. I only get like $25 extra a month which I spend on his therapy and clothes but I spend a lot more money on him myself.

I guess DU-moron MattP doesn't realize that every fraud or otherwise ineligible person is a "small target", one of hundreds of thousands (or more) "small targets" that add up to hundreds of millions or billions of dollars of social program fraud and waste.

This kind of regular scrutiny is not that unusual. "Kim Butgar" cites an example of annual review. From a person who works at a hospice, I know that people receiving hospice care (usually Medicare) are checked quarterly, with a face-to-face required annually. Fraudsters make everyone's life just a little more complicated (and sometimes a lot more).

I was just thinking the same thing.. I can look at my checking/sav/cc and print a PDF for the entire year in a few clicks.
But hey, we are talking about lazy people here... even filling out annual paperwork for the free cash is obscene to them

Normal folks with a checking account can print out their statements in a couple of minutes. However a dummy on the dole who keeps his $$ in a jar doesn't have that convience.
