Someone ordered 3 new lines and new iphones on my cell phone account.

I got a text this morning telling me that my order was being processed. What order? I ended up on the phone with my provider for 45 minutes.

The order was placed over the internet last night while I was asleep and my computer was off. So somebody hacked my account. This would be worthless to them unless they actually got the phones, but it would have been a bigger hassle if I didn't deal with it quickly. I had to reset all the credentials for my account, which will be frozen for the next 2 weeks.

6. If they reset my pw I wouldn't have been able to log in.

I did have a problem with some email accounts recently though. Shit, tonight I'm changing all my passwords.

9. Account passwords get hacked all the time

Probably has nothing to do with equifax. Check if your password is secure using this site [link:http://howsecureismypassword.net

3. ...And someone ordered a $1,200 iPhone over my eBay account a couple of days ago...

And then someone tried to withdraw $5,000 from my Bank account using PayPal.

Yup, I think it's the Equifax breach...

Both were stopped in their tracks...

8. I've learned they just need the last 4 of SS

Last month I got a robo call claiming to be from ATT. The computerized voice said my account had been flagged for security issues, please say the last 4 digits of your SS after the beep. I knew better and hung up.

For other reasons I went into my local ATT store that week and mentioned it to the sales guy, mainly because I had forgotten my pass code/word for my account (he had asked for it)..when I didn't know it, he then asked for my last 4.

It's a backup for those who don't remember their pass code/word when you contact ATT. He said it was a new way that hackers are trying to get access to cell phone accounts. Once they have your last 4, they can access the account. Doesn't mean that they can go online to access it, but if they call or go into a store....

10. Interesting. ATT is my provider.

I changed my PIN today.

11. I shoulda asked the sales guy if the provide SS # could be deactivated

Because no matter what your PIN is, I'm assuming hackers can just say on the phone "hey, I forgot my PIN, but here is my last 4".

Well, I can't think of any more-deserving group of people to have these problems.

Mole or typical dummie?  You decide.

Mole:
Mole lords it over the other dummies that it has 5 grand in his bank account and a good enough credit score that someone can score a high dollar cell phone. Then sticks it to the original dummie saying it was "stopped in its tracks".

Dummie:
Stopped in its tracks due to shitty credit score.

I pick mole. Dummies will understand the shitty credit score angle and notice he never said that he had 5 grand in his bank account, just that someone tried to take it out. Dummies will pick up on that little detail and they are still going to be green with envy particularly since he has a bank account. That implies he has more than two nickels to rub together  :whistling:

If the DUmmtard is in Antigua and using a smart phone there to get internet access, and then conducting transactions on it, I doubt if Equifax has much to do with his problems.

What's more likely is that they ordered the products themselves, and they're claiming it was/is fraud.  DUmmies lie.

More than likely  they did it after to many bong hits and then realised they were broke ass and could not pay for it all. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Plausible scenario #1:

Plausible scenario #2:

More than likely  they did it after to many bong hits and then realised they were broke ass and could not pay for it all. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Plausible scenario #3:

This is all bullshit. Dummies lie. All the time dummies lie. Even when they do not have to.  H5 to both!
