"Paging Mr Clooney, paging Mr Clooney. Emergency call from Barack Obama".

Many Liberals across the fruited plain are suicidal tonight!

I haven't taken my eyes off it.  When McCain appeared on stage there was an upsurge in the applause.  I cannot imagine what you saw.

There's a lot of people not applauding at his answers. The concept of this forum was great but the location should have been in a neutral state.

I know, they almost booed him at the very beginning,

Was that sarcasm?

no it isn't I'm saying the audience just came short of booing McCain at the beginning

I cannot remember the exact moment, I'm sure they will replay this a dozen times, but I thought heard let's call it a loud groan.

none of us are very happy about mccain, but he has really come around

I have been watching and listening with great concentration.   John McCain is making Obama look like the little boy he is.  I'm amazed.  I have never had any respect for John McCain.  I have now found some.

There is no comparison between these two candidates.  Obama seemed like a label on an empty jar.  If you look around the label you can see straight through it.   John McCain comes off as a real man made of flesh and bones held together with wisdom and experience.

I totally agree. I have had my difference with McCain regarding amnesty. But I will vote for him with much more enthusiasm

It's the dems own machine that is their own worst enemy. They put all their eggs into the basket of the candidate who has a whole lot of momentum early on..... but those candidates do not have the ability or substance to ride the wave to the election..... ref: Howard Dean.

The afterward commentary wasn't particularly kind to Obama.  That's a surprise.  There was an attempt to paint Obama's answers as "intellectual", thus implying McCain's answers were simplistic.  That's absurd, of course.  "Defeat it" was much more intellectual than that droaning game of hopscotch Obama played.

Ugh.  These callers are terrible.  I'm changing the channel.

Here we go!  "McCain was given the questions ahead of time."

3. McCain wiped the floor with Obama....

guys, face reality...

this tentative, gray area, maybe this maybe that shit needs to stop NOW.... it was fine before, we need decisiveness from this dude from now on... it doesn't contrast well when matched up directly...

and now the media is eating it up...

me thinks The Obama is starting to loose his luster amongst the Hopeful.

Obama was like listening to a John and Yoko album.  Meaningless, forgetable, and you never want to play it again.

MSNBC is trashing Obama and I tuned into them because they would be less harsh. I guess they don't like intellectual answers.

8. McCain won the evening and spoke to most Americans watching with the tone they
wanted to hear. Obama is much more sincere and honest, however, that does not make for good theater.

12. Turn on CSPAN
The callers are interesting, and most see through McCain's stump speech.
