That was such an obvious McCain win, I almost felt sorry for Obama....almost.

Welfare Reform Obama?? :rotf: Sorry...but if he thought that answer was going to resonate with the american people (with the exception of ghetto cities) he is dumber than I thought.

he's talking like he negotiating a minefield and he is!

stylistically, he is coming off very well, though.  he seems very relaxed and comfortable.

I disagree...he's coming off like the little kid trying to be relevant at the adults table.  He seems nervous to me and insecure of his answers....

I was at work and couldn't view it.  I hope I run across a web cast of the full thing.

Considering what his job was BEFORE he became a Congress Critter...it's not surprising he made the false assumption that Welfare Reform would resonate with the rest of us.

There are only 2 debates scheduled.   Something tells me the Obama camp will try to weasle out of at least one of them. No way they can weasel out of both.
It is said that branches draw their life from the vine. Each is separate yet all are one as they share one life giving stem . The Bible tells us we are called to a similar union in life, our lives with the life of God. We are incorporated into him; made sharers in his life. Apart from this union we can do nothing.

IT'S A TRAP!

I was expecting more activity over there.  The initial excitement seems to have passed.  One of the little goons asked a good question... will we see a bump in the polls for McCain?

I didn't read their answers, becuase their answers are generally stupid.

Both will get a bump in the polls. McCain will bump up and The Barckstar will get a bump down.

I think McCain.like him or not agree with him or not, shows he is ready to lead. Obama still going with the let's set down ,have a cup of coffee and talk about it. When the polls come in I'll maybe make a decision.

Bingo.  And we don't need another president like that.

From Glenn Reynolds: "Obama just said Clarence Thomas didn't have enought experience to serve on the court.  Kinda ironic, huh?"

It's gonna be a hoot if Hillary walks out of the convention with the nomination ain't it?

Are you kidding...  The money will flow like water through a sieve into her campaign if that happens.

It's the dems own machine that is their own worst enemy. They put all their eggs into the basket of the candidate who has a whole lot of momentum early on..... but those candidates do not have the ability or substance to ride the wave to the election..... ref: Howard Dean.

Spot-on observation.

i notice BO's problems starting on his answer to the first question... his wife is one of the wisest people he knows?  because she's "honest"?  so, she wasn't lying when she said America is "downright mean"?  hmmm...
also, hasn't he been trying to keep his wife out as an issue, regardless of the fact that she's giving a speech at the convention...

You should try them sauteed with garlic, bell pepper, and onion.
