If any of these clowns had ever gotten off their couch and run farther from their house to the corner 7/11 (okay, skateboarded to 7/11), they'd know how much SUGAR their bodies burn doing workouts.
Hence why I never hesitated to do carbo-loading before a long (20+ mile) run, usually 36 hours in advance (Friday night for a Sunday run). It was NOTHING to hit Old Spaghetti Factory and do a "Manager's Size" plate of Mizithra Cheese spaghetti and garlic cheese bread, cause I knew it would all come off that weekend. In the case of a marathon, an average sized person will burn off more than 4500 calories. I am FAR from "average" sized. I figured that between the warmup, marathon, and cooldown afterwards, I burned at least 6000-7000 calories.
Now you bastards got me missing Old Spaghetti Factory. Dammit, dammit it all to hell!
