Amidst posturing and telling President Trump that California will become a sanctuary state, Governor Moonbeam is now crawling to Trump and asking for federal assistance.

The state is bankrupt and they have real security problems there. And now a natural disaster hits and here comes the leading moonbat of the Golden State… hand outstretched and entitled. It would be funny except we will wind up paying for California not taking care of their own. That’s the problem with Socialism, you eventually run out of other people’s money.

From Fox40:

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Gov. Jerry Brown has asked President Trump to declare a major disaster for California because of damage from January storms.

The letter sent Friday says the relentless series of storms caused flooding, mudslides, evacuations, erosion, power outages and at least eight deaths. Northern California was hardest hit.

Brown says the storm system was so severe and widespread that state and local governments need federal assistance to continue dealing with the problems it created.

In a separate action, the governor added Amador, Mono and Riverside to the 49 counties included in an emergency proclamation Brown issued last month.

I can see that phone call:

Gov Moonbeam: Mr. President, we need your help

DT: So, you call when you need our help, but don't try to help us?

MB: Mr. President, there are lives on the line.

DT: Ok, but no more sanctuary cities or sanctuary state talk. You start helping out the rest of America who are paying your bills.

Here is the phone call I would like to see:

Gov. Moonbeam:  Mr. President, this is Governor Brown.

President Trump:  (covers phone mouthpiece with palm) Hey, Rance, that idiot Governor Moonbeam is on the phone. (laughter)  Yes, Governor Moo, uh, Brown, what can I do for you?

Gov. Moonbeam:  We have 49 counties that have suffered a lot of damage, due to these bad storms we've been having.  It's more than we can handle.

President Trump:  So, are you asking for help from the federal government?

Gov. Moonbeam:  Yes sir, I am.

President Trump:  Well, Governor, here is what I will do.  You send me a list of those counties that do NOT have any "sanctuary cities", and we will be happy to help them out.  As for the other counties, I would suggest they round up all of the illegals they are protecting and put them to work!

Gov. Moonbeam:  Uh, well, um.......(click).

So, CA'ians should have refused to pay the portion of their taxes that went to relieve the Gulf States after Katrina? that went to relieve the Atlantic States after Sandy? that went to Moore, OK after the 2013 tornado? Do you want me to try to list the vast number of disasters outside of CA there have been in the past 1 or 3 or 6 or ... decades, to whose relief CA taxpayers have contributed?

Think your "reasoning" through, see how it applies to other similar circumstance, before posting it.

As to your objection to CA sanctuary cities - FWIW, I oppose such ordinances - maybe you should take a gander at this map. How "clean" are the "hands" of your state?! ETA: Butte County is not a "Sanctuary"; you should be able to figure out why that is meaningful.

If The Vaccine is deadly as anti-Covid-vaxxers claim, millions now living would have died.
