Sorry, but I am really pissed. The American people talk a big game and wave the flag but by an large they do not give a crap about veterans. They really do not want any new taxes to help pay for disabled veterans. When it comes to privatizing the VA, veterans health care and certain parts of the military all there is is silence and indifference.

I guess it is "no big deal" that even disabled veterans will not have health care under the new GOP scheme to turn vets care into a worthless voucher. And it is no big deal they want to turn over the VA hospitals to corporations if you read the fine print. I guess it is no big deal that you scrap military retirement pensions and replace it with a 401K.

The GOP has already gutted veterans' employment assistance. And they have already weakened the entire VA system and broken it.

When it comes down to where the rubber meets the road the American people have deserted. Even the VFW and American Legion express "only concern" about the direction the GOP is taking with veterans' issues.

In another time the GOP politicians would actually be running for their lives literally. They would be in danger for messing with veterans. So now we will be sending troops into combat and they are on their own after serving. They can sell pencils and poppies on the street corner like was done in days gone by.

Screw The USA if the GOP gets its way.

The VA has been the not so shining example of government provided health care you half legged,half wit and it has failed miserably for those that most deserve it.

I'm not a vet, nor is anyone in my immediate family. But I do know people who use the VA, and it seems to me that it's a gigantic pain in the neck to have to travel hours to get to the doc, when we have local doctors. Being able to take a voucher to a local doc and get as high (or higher, possibly) level of care would be a real convenience.

The government may not give a rip about the Vets but you can be sure that a lot of the people do. Just look at the donations to Wounded Warrior or DVA. A lot of people care.

In conclusion to this idiot's stupid bleating, the American people DO CARE. They cared so much they hired Mr. Trump to make the VA a functioning institution and correct Obama's terrible if not evil management of the VA.

Why is the voucher worthless Bob?  Vets can't easily get to somewhere hours away.  If there is a hospital 20 minutes or so in reach, this makes all the sense in the world to me.

At least we don't shower veterans with terms of endearment like "Baby killers," "Mercenaries," and "Nazis," the way the Left does. I seem to recall a comment by one DUmmy a couple years ago (Around the time that they were collectively wetting their panties over the film 'American Sniper') saying that someone like Chris Kyle would not be welcome in his neighborhood.
At least we don't portray active soldiers and veterans as either brainless hillbillies or kill- crazy psychopaths the way liberal Hollywood often does in their movies.

The democrats mishandling and indifference of the VA is what helped WI Senator Ron Johnson get re-elected.

WI's other Senator, Tammy "I am a Lesbian" Baldwin, will be up for re-election in a couple of years. Hopefully her opponent will be able to make an issue out of her inaction on the problems with the VA in WI, they are bad and as more information comes out it gets worse. We need her out of the Senate. Right now she is a single issue (gay rights, surprise!!!), backbencher do nothing.

     Hopalong Bob hasn't been seen in two days now, which got me to thinking: he's 73, and in poor health, not to mention his blood pressure must be like that of an overstuffed bratwurst.

     That means that there is a good, perhaps VERY good, chance that he will die under President Donald Trump's administration, and in fact he has probably seen his last Democrat POTUS.

     And that thought warms my heart very much. Live long and suck it, Bob.
