http://hotair.com/archives/2016/03/02/oh-my-mitt-romney-to-deliver-major-speech-on-2016-race-tomorrow/So no endorsement tomorrow and no independent run — yet. This does, however, look an awful lot like Romney putting himself back on the radar of #NeverTrump conservative voters at the very moment that they’re starting to look around for an “in case of emergency, break glass†candidate. I think that’s the theme he’ll pursue tomorrow: Never Trump. He’s going to say that Trump is unfit for the GOP nomination for a hundred different reasons, from his temperament to his leftish policies to his proclivity for scams like Trump University to his dodging when asked about David Duke in that interview with Tapper. In order to make it clear that he’s not trying to bigfoot the primary candidates and discourage Republicans from turning out to vote over the next two weeks, he may also make a point of saying that Rubio, Kasich, and even Ted Cruz would all be fine and acceptable choices for the nomination. The takeaway, though, will be that conservative voters must have a principled choice available to them in the general election. They can’t be forced to decide between two liberals from New York. He won’t say who that choice will be or that he has any plans to run; it’ll be a pure “conscience of a conservative†speech denouncing Trump. But I think it’ll also be clear afterward that if Rubio can’t close the deal in Florida on March 15th, you may be hearing from Romney again. And the next speech will be a little more concrete than this one.
After the Arizona primary, assuming Trump is even still running as a Republican, I am OUT of this sham of a political organization. In my nearly 40 years of watching election cycles I have never seen such a vast, arrayed movement against a front runner, so clearly against the will of the plurality thus far of those years, including the Reagan candidacy. But then, no other candidate that has ever run has been totally independent of donor contributions and thus not beholden to anyone but his voters! Ever.
I have seen all the anti-Trump attacks launched by those who believe that repeating lies will convince me, and other supporters, that their candidate is pure and worthy of the conservative mantle. I expect mostly grief from anyone answering this, if they bother, but fair warning, Trump support reaches across this nation and we will not be halted by Romney, the failed candidate who was so frikkin' nasty to his primary opponents and then folded like a wet napkin against Obama in the general election campaign. And for someone who is supposed to be a Christian, Cruz demonstrated a vicious and petty streak in last night's "victory" declamation that would've made me turn against him if I hadn't pegged him as a phony from day one.
Yeah, I know, I worship at the altar of Trump, am on my knees to him

and am an emotional, unrational non-conservative traitor who should be supporting the almighty Ted, whose path to victory in the general election is so guaranteed should he garner the nomination. Much as Mittens should've wiped the floor with Obama, until he didn't.
I'm with my candidate and I must say the level, not just of non-support, but of outright hatred for the registered primary voters' first choice within the Establishment has been breathtaking in scope and extremely disgusting. Why in the world would the RNC, Romney, and their ilk expect little old me, whose opinion only counts enough to be told how to vote, to bow down and accept their judgement of what is best for the party and the country? Those assholes gave us McCain and then Romney. Now Romney is attempting to position himself as the alternative to Trump, assuming all the attack dog ads do their intended job and derail his candidacy. Wonder how well HIS failed bid four years ago would have proceeded had he had the entire establishment pukes of both parties after his ass? He'd be curled in a corner crying, yet now he's going to try to play statesman? **** him, the establishment and all those who support this chicanery.
Mods, feel free to ban me at this point as that's what some of your members would like anyway, those who crow about driving away the Paulbots.
Over and done.
