Could my neighbors be in federal trouble?

My wife and I dealing with the two down stairs from our condo. Right inside the security door which is used for all 4 apatments there is a mat reading Merry Christmas. My Wife would have been fine with Season Greetings or Happy Holidays. My wife has left letters explaining her objections. But those have been rip down and the mat remains.

Today my wife received a package from amazon of stuff she ordered ON the package was written Merry Christmas and Christmas underline. We found the package on the steps to the condo. In order for the mailman to get in the buzzard needs rung or you need a key.

If one of these neighbors wrote this on my wife's package did they deface postal property? Can they be in trouble?

6. Just want to understand something here

You moved to a condo from the apartment that you lived in for 10 years until it was condemned? That's quite a step up--bravo.

As to your question, unless you can show with some certainty that your neighbor tampered with your mail, then the post office won't do anything about it whether you report them or not. At most, they'll open an incident report, and after 30 days or so it will get filed as "unresolved."

If it's an ongoing issue, then you might be able to lodge a credible complaint, but if you call to complain that you think your neighbor might be engaged in subversive Christmas-wishing, then if you're lucky the person at the post office will suppress their laughter until you hang up or walk away from the window. This is especially true now, when they're dealing with literal tons of mail; a complaint such as yours will be somewhere below "sock sale" on their list of priorities.

Hey, I get the underlying sentiment. I'm atheist, and I have no stomach for overbearing displays of proselytizing Christianity, but this fight will get you nowhere.

They decorate a natural deal without our input! THEY HAVE YET TO HOLD A MONTHLY MEETING ONLY PROXY VOTING WHICH CAN BE RIGGED! SO EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE WHO FOLLOWS YULETIDE TRADITIONS AND TRY TO BE RESPECTFUL OF ALL OTHERS BELIEF IS SLAPPED IN THE FACE!

It is one thing if it is directly infront of that condo door it shouldn't be in front of a common door.

Sorry for wanting respect!

Is he going for DOTY?  I mean the blow up wife is amusing, but seriously, putting letters on the neighbors door because of a floor mat?  Writing on an amazon package is a federal crime?

I saw that and tried to delete mine but it didn't take.  I think Dman is an authentic kook, he has a pretty long history of posting this sort of craziness.

I'm more interested in how they trained a buzzard to function as a doorman.

dm and his wife clearly have too much time on their hands. If my two-doors-down Iranian neighbors are Muslims and their religious decorations "infringe" on the public sidewalk, I'm not going to write them nast-e-grams, I'm just going to walk around the decorations. Similarly, my Indian neighbors across the street have religious decorations ...

Granted that the neighbors, if they wrote "Merry Christmas" on the package, were ungracious I suspect dm's wife's nast-e-grams were far less gracious. But let's pretend dm's wife's notes were so gracious as to include being scented. Writing "Merry Christmas" on their package is a proverbial "Federal case"?

"a package from amazon"?! Last I heard, Federal Postal regs don't apply to private delivery companies' packages.

We have millions of illegal aliens living in this Country in violation of federal immigration law and this jack off wants the feds to arrest his neighbors for allegedly writing Merry Christmas on his amazon packages.
