Heartbroken homeless man wails as 'animal rights activists' wrestle him to the ground and steal his dog in footage that has caused outrage across France
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3247332/Heartbroken-homeless-man-wails-animal-rights-activists-wrestle-ground-steal-dog-footage-caused-outrage-France.html

Quote
French animal rights activists have been filmed confiscating a puppy from a homeless man, who wails in despair as the animal is taken away.

Footage of the incident, which took place in the capital Paris, shows a man and woman wrestling the homeless man to the ground as the terrified puppy tries to hide beneath its owner's suitcases.

The video was uploaded to Facebook earlier this week by eyewitness Nghi Le Duc and has since been viewed more than 1.7 million times and shared by 26,000 people.

My God, that's the cruelest thing I've read in awhile.  My heart breaks for that man and his puppy.  People playing god with other people's lives for their "own good" is the very essence of a liberal's paradise and I just know those stinking activists were NOT conservatives. :censored:

To libs, some animals are more equal.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

Liberal assholes like those two nutcases should be so lucky as to be elevated to the status of animal.
I wish we could obtain justice for this poor man and his terrorized puppy.  And so frikking what if the guy used the puppy to beg, assuming what those assholes claim is true.  I tend to give money to people with an animal, so if that makes me a patsy so be it.  I'd rather drop some dollars off with a man loving a dog than be forced to donate tax dollars to worthless parasites without any compassion in their meager breasts because any normal feelings are totally crowded out by self-righteous judgmental thinking.  I can't believe these are the same ****ers who DARE sneer at us for being all the things they ARE. :bigbird:

If you want to stop factory farming, great. If you want to stop vivisection, great. If you forcefully take someone's loving dog from their possession because you "feel" he might be doing something you see as "wrong", you can shove it. I have no tolerance for this, there's nothing even remotely redeemable.

A happy ending for this poor pooch and his owner!!

https://www.thedodo.com/stolen-dog-homeless-man-1389039461.html

A petition to return the dog to his owner received over 80,000 signatures within a few hours of the video being posted to Facebook. Today, the numbers have risen to more than 240,000.

Although the petition may have had something to do with Blanchard's decision to return the puppy, there were other factors at play. The group was facing possible legal repercussions for its actions, and Blanchard himself was summoned for police questioning.

After a brief stay with a foster family in the nearby French municipality of Wattignies, the puppy and his owner are now back together.

They may still not have a home or very much else to call their own. But at least the two once again have each other.

In the final analysis, what difference does it make if these two have a ROOF over their heads.  Home is where the heart is, and obviously this little pup is home again at last! :cheersmate:

I'm willing to bet that that dog gets treated better than some dogs I see chained outside in my neighborhood.

My pleasure!  I was worried about this poor puppy and his owner and so pissed off at the human dregs who dog snatched the little dude.  I KNOW these ****tards are liberals because no one else feels entitled enough to play god with other people's lives.

I know...I don't see that here, but have elsewhere and I absolutely consider it animal cruelty, second only to abandonment or outright physical abuse.

A neighbor a couple of houses down has two dogs chained outside, both have those igloo type doghouses, but the only time I see any interaction with people is when they are fed and watered.  The two dogs are kept apart and can't even get within 5 feet of each other.

That makes me cry.  It's one thing to keep them outside, housed comfortably, but dogs, like all pack animals, derive comfort from the company of others.  Depending upon your neighbor, perhaps you could inquire as to why they can't be housed together?  Dogs ask so little of us; it's incumbent upon us, as their caretakers, to be sensitive to their wants and needs.  Probably the reason I have 12 rescues, and would have more if not for the constraints of money and well, money, I'd take in a million cats and dogs.  Actually should I ever win a lottery that'd be my second priority, after ensuring the financial well-being of myself and my family.  Since, alas, I will never win a lottery, the best I can do is rescue the most needy, if possible, or write a check.  After bringing home one too many cats, my husband has forbidden me from volunteering at the shelter any longer. :bawl:  I guess he's right, but I feel like I'm not doing enough, and not only for animals.  Sponsoring a girl in Africa is almost an exercise in despair; I sent money and the parents used it to buy malaria medicine for her.
We all try to do our part, I know, but it's so damn discouraging sometimes, and then you get some dickwad like Oblama in the White House and instead of trying to do anything compassionate, he's simply hateful and his wife damn near force feeds absolute garbage to the vulnerable schoolkids.  He couldn't even do ONE decent thing by adopting a rescue animal but instead had to get a purebred water spaniel.  Purebreds are fine, but as the person with the so-called bully pulpit, he could've saved quite a few of our at risk four legged friends by setting, for once in his execrable existence, a good example.
He's a selfish bastard, and so are the self-righteous dognappers, who I HOPE will be prosecuted or at least sued for every last sou in court by the puppy's owner.

Hi, gang.  Been a while since I was here.
I have a story.  I once bred and raised German Rottweilers.  Had a beautiful sire, named Floyd.  Best dog ever.
One day, my neighbor's young wife came sobbing to my front door.  I asked her in.  When I inquired, she told me that her Dad, a real piece of work, sold her dog to a Crack Dealer for some drugs.  I asked her where the dog was kept, and she offered to show me.
We drove a few miles to a secluded old shack of a house.  In the front yard, I see a huge female Rottie, chained to a large oak tree.  Gorgeous dog.
Her chain was so short she could not reach her water bowl.  she was walking aroung in feces, and bugs were tormenting the poor dog.  I told the girl to keep driving.  We went back to my house, in silence.  I was livid.
When I got out of the car, she asked me what I planned to do.  "Better for you to not know," I replied.
She left, as I went inside, grabbed my Smith .40, and my truck keys.
I arrived at the Dirtbag Motor Lodge, walked straight to the door, and knocked loudly.
The scumbag peeked out of the door.  "Go away", he said.  You could tell he was goggle eyed.
"I just wanted you to know that I am taking that poor abused dog home with me."
"Hell no you don't.  You can't have my dog", he said.
"Fella, I wasn't asking.  I am taking."
"He flung open the door, and holding a ball bat, he said, "Over my dead body!"
I pulled my pistol and pushed it an inch from his nose.  "Have it your way", I said.
"Fine." Take the ***CH!  I do not care about her."
"Obviously", I replied.  I walked over and released the dog, put her in the cab of my truck, and away we went.
I scrubbed for two hours to get that dog clean.  Fed her, flea dipped her, put her back in the truck, to show my neighbor.
She said she could not keep the dog.  Her lease forbade animals.  I owned my home, and asked her for permission to keep the dog.  She told me to wait, and went back in her home.  When she came out, she had the dog's UKC papers.
Roxy, and I, went to Pet Smart.  I walked her around and let her pick her own food and treats.  Got a few other things and left.
She and Floyd gave me several litters of fine German Pedigreed Pups.  When I gave her and her husband half the profits of their first litter, she hugged my neck and said that knowing her dog was well treated and loved, was all she wanted, but I insisted they take the money as payment for the mother.  She said 2200 bucks was too much, but I told her that Roxy was well worth the money, just because she was such a sweet dog.

^Good for you, tiny one...and for Roxy !
I hope Roxy is short for Roxbury, as in "A Night At The Roxbury".
Then she would really know "What Is Love", and it would make a great theme song for her...

Sorry, I just saw your reply.
No, her name is just Roxy, but I agree with the Theme Song.  But trust me, she knows what is love.  We made sure of that.

Hi Tiny, great story.
Glad to see you around again. (I'm from that old forum...RO)
Will you be posting cookie recipes ? LOL
Sure.  How about one of my favorites.

Peanut Butter Stuffed Chocolate Cookies.
for the cookies:
1/2 cup sugar, plus a little extra for dipping

1/2 cup brown sugar

1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, softened

1/4 cup peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 1/2 cups flour

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1-2 teaspoons milk, as needed

for the filling:

3/4 cup powdered sugar

3/4 cup peanut butter
Preheat the oven to 375. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
Cream together the peanut butter and powdered sugar for the filling, until well blended. Refrigerate the mixture while you mix up the dough to make it easier to handle.

To make the cookie dough, in a large bowl, beat together the sugar, brown sugar, butter, and peanut butter until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Add the flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda, and mix until a thick dough forms. If the dough is crumbly, add 1-2 teaspoons milk.

Divide the dough into twenty pieces that are roughly equal in size. I did this by dividing the dough into halves, then fourths, then dividing each fourth into five equal sized pieces. Remove the chilled filling from the fridge and divide it into 20 equally sized pieces, then roll them into balls and set aside.

Place a piece of dough in the palm of your hand and flatten it out. Place a filling ball in the middle of the dough and wrap the dough around it, rolling it into a ball to seal it. Dip the top of the ball into sugar, place it on the baking sheet, and flatten it lightly with your hand. Repeat with remaining dough, spacing it out on the cookie sheets.

Bake 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are set and slightly cracked around the edges. Enjoy!

I hope you like that one.  It, when done correctly, is "Slap Yo' Momma", delicious.
