Chuggo ? Really ?

I'm kinda surprised you didn't go with Jerry The Tapir. Jerry has far more DU cred than Chuggo ever did.

Well that's a terrible way to go, I wouldn't wish cancer on anyone.  I hope that he enjoys the love of his family and friends in the time he has left.

Well, yeah, sure.

But there's ways to go that are even more terrible, and he's being spared that.

Funny.

President Carter was a farmer, naval officer, nuclear engineer, State Senator, Governor, 39th President of the United States, and Nobel Peace Prize winner.

And you clowns, on the other hand, are people who spend their days pathetically obsessing about postings on an internet message board on a daily basis.

That's a wonderful contrast in how one should and should not spend their lives. Maybe you can take a moment and stop and think about it for a second. But most likely you won't.

Peace out, fools.

You funny, mother****a! Did Jimmah Carter give you a free house or something?

Your precious St. Jimmah was not a nuclear engineer. He resigned his commission during training. In other words- Fail!

He got elected in the first Presidential election after Nixon's resignation. A turnip could have been elected, had it run as a Democrat.... and it did.

Our allies didn't respect him, and our enemies didn't fear him. Gosh, Batman, who does that remind you of? <koff- Obama - koff> . He did such a poor job that he only got to warm the Big Chair for one term, and lost to Reagan in a landslide. St. Jimmah was only able to pull together 49 electoral votes. Fail, Part II!

And as for the Nobel Peace Prize, have you seen how they give those things away- like Cracker Jack Prizes?  Hell, even Obama got one, despite accomplishing absolutely nothing but being black and a socialist. If I was Carter, I'd return the damn thing out of shame.

Jimmah's just happy Obama came along, so he would no longer have the title of "worst president since World War II."

I pray the Lord eases President Carter's suffering and helps him and his family through this time of trial.

The little goons at DUmmieland will be up in arms when the day comes and Carter does pass on to his reward.  Not because he has passed.  It will be because this nation as a whole won't give a fig.  There will be no national outpouring of love and mourning the way it was when President Ronald Reagan passed.

Carter will be forgotten soon after.

Well, he's pretty old.  He's had a long life, and nothing lasts forever.

He's 90 and has liver cancer (if the news reports I've heard are correct). The chances of Carter living to see his 92nd BD are pretty low.

It's probably unloving, etc., for me to say this, but I cannot muster even slight sympathy for that anti-Semite.

You'd think someone with naval experience would be competent enough to prevent a bunny rabbit from jumping in his boat and attacking him. Maybe he was busy "lusting in his heart" and was distracted.

Many Progs grave-danced at the deaths of Reagan, Ford, and even Bob Hope (due to Hope's many tours entertaining US troops in Vietnam). I have no doubt many DU-folk did so, and are eagerly awaiting G. H. W. Bush's death. Well, Carter's memory is going to be insulted far worse, with obscurity. His death will be greeted with perfunctory commemorative honors, and very little grave-dancing. Carter was a mediocrity as a President, undeserving of strong honors or condemnations.

Carter, as best I know, served honorably in the Navy. He started out as a very decent former President, with his work with Habitat for Humanity. But as President he was a failed mediocrity - well over his head while being a control-freak micro-manager. And Carter's last decade or two of anti-Israel-ism and Antisemitism are an enormous stain on whatever legacy he might leave behind. I won't even go into - beyond this sentence - Carter's crapping on many of his (supposed) brothers and sisters in Christ and use of the Bible as a political buffet steam table. I once thought Carter an honorable man and a brother in Christ. He is not honorable, and if the latter he will have some 'splainin' to do when he meets Jesus face to face.

As usual, you guys usually show up before me and post my exact thoughts, so I don't always add redundancy to a thread. In this case, the two thoughts that sum up my feelings on this news are:

Look on the bright side....he won't die the worst president ever.

and

Well, he's pretty old.  He's had a long life, and nothing lasts forever.

And also, Chuggo can go FOAD. If he's looking for a rousing display of grave dancing, he's on the wrong side of the aisle.

Why all this attention for Jimmeh?

I think the DUmmies have completely forgotten that the Big Guy (who is dying) is dying.

We can only attribute that to the Big Guy (who is dying)'s failure to remind them for at least the past month.

Most DUmbasses lurk here and will be reminded, but the Big Guy (who is dying) needs to post a update for the others.

The media will play it for all its worth. They will make it seem like we're all heart broken.
and the DUmmies will eat it up.
I'm just glad mourning will not be compulsory like in NK.

PS. Another BS for Chuggo. Its still a stoopid name.
(seriously. One snarky post and that's it?!  I don't feel I can adequately be "told off" in a single post. and just for that I will make a trip to Jimmy's final resting place to take a whizz on his grave.)
