Some how I just knew it wasn't brain cancer.

Is this where DUmmies wail and moan about Jimmy as if he were a member of the family?

Look on the bright side....he won't die the worst president ever.

Well now, I'm just trying to remind the primitives to be of good cheer.

The guy's lived about ninety years now, which is longer than most people do, and so for that they should be grateful, rather than sad.

Funny.

President Carter was a farmer, naval officer, nuclear engineer, State Senator, Governor, 39th President of the United States, and Nobel Peace Prize winner.

And you clowns, on the other hand, are people who spend their days pathetically obsessing about postings on an internet message board on a daily basis.

That's a wonderful contrast in how one should and should not spend their lives. Maybe you can take a moment and stop and think about it for a second. But most likely you won't.

Peace out, fools.

Yeah, I wondered if it was something I said.

You know me, sir; I'm the Pollyanna of conservativecave, the one always finding something good in every thing.  Here, we got a guy who's lived more than 90 years (I just checked it, after my last post), which is a good length of time.  He's dying having done a lot of things in life.  He's dying leaving a solid financial foundation for his wife and children; they won't lack for anything.

So the primitives mourning his imminent demise should rather be grateful that he got so much.

He got more from life than most do--and especially much more than those pre-born infants who were denied a place at the Banquet of Life.

Oh, I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times there are not forgotten.
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land!
In Dixie's Land, where I was born in,
early on one frosty mornin'.
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land!
I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie's Land I'll take my stand,
to live and die in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie!
Away, away, away down south in Dixie!
We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again.

Way down upon de Swanee Ribber,
Far, far away,
Dere's wha my heart is turning ebber,
Dere's wha de old folks stay.
All up and down de whole creation
Sadly I roam,
Still longing for de old plantation,
And for de old folks at home.

All de world am sad and dreary,
Eb-rywhere I roam;
Oh, darkeys, how my heart grows weary,
Far from de old folks at home!
We will make America strong again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And we will make America great again.

No, he most certainly was not.

He was a very shitty president, but I don't expect the DUmmie to be honest enough to admit that.

His legacy is double digit inflation and double digit unemployment (stagflation), allowing Americans to remain hostages to a hostile country for 444 days, and being the Commander and Chief while permitting the U.S. military to degrade to the point where they couldn't even pull off a rescue mission.

He stumbled into the presidency because he presented himself as the good ole country boy from Georgia who wasn't anything like those crooked politicians in DC. This was on the heels of Watergate where voters were especially wary of those things.

All in all I think he meant well (unlike Dear Leader), but just like Dear Leader the job was over his head. Thank goodness Reagan came along and got the economy back on track.

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.
