Beats me.  My guess is that the words "Primitive from the Past" has aroused a lot of curiousity on the island.  It's Occam's Razor.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of Liberty." - Thomas Jefferson

"All you have to do is look straight and see the road, and when you see it, don't sit looking at it - walk!" -Ayn Rand

"Those that trust God with their safety must yet use proper means for their safety, otherwise they tempt Him, and do not trust Him.  God will provide, but so must we also." - Matthew Henry, Commentary on 2 Chronicles 32, from Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

"These anti-gun fools are more dangerous to liberty than street criminals or foreign spies."--Theodore Haas, Dachau Survivor

I think it is because it references rim jobs.
All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.

First time I have seen this thread----much to think about.

Before camera phones there had to have been over a thousand times in my life when I would see something and wished I had a camera.

I today have a camera phone but in a time of stress or the unexpected, I forget I have it to use.

This has to be a mind set for those who use their phones and the camera every day to talk or text.  Mine sits in my purse for emergency's only and only used a few times for checking on Mom when the power goes out, once when I got a flat tire to call AAA.

Everyone from a 5 year old up to people in their 90's seems to have one, and the law in my States says that one can photograph ANYONE who is in public view,  ---This includes the right to stand on your  private property and take pictures into the homes of neighbors if the inside can be seen from the street or by the public.

It is a new world out there folks, that Ad about identity theft that tells us when writing a check or giving indent from a drivers license, to make sure the person standing in line behind you is not photographing any of your transaction with a camera phone,

Photographing  or recording our police has become a problem for them, makes them more aware of their actions.  They have cop car cams that in some cases works against them.

There are security cameras EVERY Where, on buildings, sides of homes, inside homes. Traffic cameras, convenience stores up to the malls and each store within.

The police have the right to order people to move on for the safety of the people or themselves, but do they have the right to order people to stop filming a police action ???

When the police tell people they can stand and watch but not document what ever is going on, what are they afraid of.??

This is only going to become more confusing as technology puts in the hands of civilians a method to sort out all the confusion that may give false memory's or complete blank outs on crucial minutes.

I remember a 7 year old boy who went to visit a friend and a pedophile attempted to lure him to his truck. The boys father had given him his cell phone to call home and after the boy got away from the Perv took a picture of the Pervs licence plate.    The police tracked down the owner and found he was wanted for molesting young kids in 3 States.

Now if you ask me, in that situation most Adults would not have had the wits to do that.

This guy in question complaining about his arrest, makes me wonder if HE didn't set this whole thing up like that Dave24 in my state does just to push the limit.

Perhaps as the judge said, this guy is just looking to promote questionable behavior from the police, sort of like poking a sleeping bear with a stick.

Maybe Carlos started a thread about it somewhere or mentioned it on his blog?

Now 27 guests are reading it. I also noticed the original post date was the day after my brother died. Wednesday is his birthday too.  :bawl:
