"When Walt Disney World opened in an Orlando swamp in 1971, with its penny arcade and marching-band parade down Main Street U.S.A., admission for an adult cost $3.50, about as much then as three gallons of milk."
1. Everything was cheaper back then.
2. In order to keep attracting more visitors and keep growing, the Disney parks opened more and more rides over the years. The construction and upkeep of those rides made the park's operating costs more and more expensive, so they had to raise ticket prices periodically to ensure the parks stayed securely in the black. Considering that the theme parks, not just Disney World but also Universal Orlando, are among the primary contributors to central Florida's economy (Not just the direct revenue from the parks themselves, but also the various Orlando businesses associated with its tourist industry that is largely centered around the parks, such as hotels, restaurants, car rental dealerships, etc.), I'd say that's reasonable.
Disney has certainly made some less- than- ethical business decisions (i.e. buying Marvel and the rights to the music from the 'Harry Potter' films largely just in order to squeeze royalties money out of Universal Orlando, the way they broke a promise they made to Robin Williams when first negotiating his contract for playing the Genie in 'Aladdin,' etc.), but they've also done a lot of good. They've provided jobs to tons of people, contributed to the economic growth of cities, and just provided quality (For the most part) family entertainment and happy memories to innumerable people all over the world.
Then again, considering that the DUmmies are mostly Communists who really care nothing about "The people" they claim to represent, and simply miserable SOBs who seek to spread their misery and unhappiness around to everyone in sight, I can see why those points wouldn't mean anything to them.
