Liberals need homelessness. Liberals need suffering. There used to be places for the mentally ill until liberals turned them out on the streets.

Anyone who celebrates homeless people using libraries has probably never spent the day in said library. Rank vagrants sleeping at desks making a disgusting mess of the restrooms, terminal alcoholics pissing and shitting themselves, or smelly hobos sleeping in the chairs in the periodicals section, or hiding in unused closets. Those people aren't "improving" themselves... they're finding a place indoors to pass the time until they can move on to their next freebie, overnight flophouse, or day of panhandling.

There are public employment offices with computers for job searching and resume writing. There are charities for overnight lodging and bathing.

I imagine Los Angeles is one of those cities that is great "except for the smell".

There are several here in VA that are screaming for guards. Local, state and federal. Oh and VA is a right to work state.

The solution to this homeless problem is simple.
The homeless can just go be homeless somewhere else.

The point I think that we are the trying to make is that yes, homelessness happens, but what you don't want to to is let a homeless person or unemployed person see them self as a victim. THAT is the start of their problems.

When a person identifies them self as a victim, they don't ask the hard questions of 'what can I do right now to change this'? They stay wallowing in the 'woe is me' pity party.

They don't give themselves the opportunity to improve themselves, and their state in life. Sometimes you have to get frustrated in order to make a change for the better.

Some, not all, 'homeless people' make a 'career' out of extorting money from people who think they are genuinely helping someone in need.

If people aren't making changes for the better, its because they don't WANT to; They have no motivation to, because their 'needs' are being met, and in some cases they are self a medicating their state.

What I am getting at, is people need to stop trying to be a victim, accept what has happened to them, and MOVE ON. And accept the fact that something shitty happened, but it will NOT define the rest of your life... Unless you LET it.

Oh, and buzz click, I'm pretty certain what was meant by the 'screwing off for 18 years' comment was that if you screw around in school, your work habits carry over to your career, and you don't make it far unless YOU make a change.

Trying to talk sense to a dummie is like trying to herd cats. It never works, annoys the shit out of you during the process and in the end the cats all run off in different directions.
