Lemme be Blunt

I marched against the Vietnam War so I don't need to tell you how old I am.

So it occurred to me, who opposes climate change the most? Sadly, it is the people who will not live long enough to see its devastating effects on the world.

What a bunch of selfish Americans, willing to trade away the future for a few coins today.

HUH? What does Vietnam have to do with phony climate change?

Actually, DUmbass, I oppose the redistribution of wealth that is "Climate Change".

“The national budget must be balanced. The public debt must be reduced; the arrogance of the authorities must be moderated and controlled. Payments to foreign governments must be reduced, if the nation doesn't want to go bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance.”

If he's that old, imagine how big his carbon footprint has to be?!

What was the carbon footprint of his protesting? How much longer did the war drag out because of people like him? or Her.

4. I am about your age so I'll be blunt back.

I am concerned about climate change because as I leave the world, I leave behind my children and grandchildren. I am concerned about the stewardship of the land and the planet. I do agree that Americans are largely responsible for the demands being placed on the resources of the world. Over the years, I have written any number of posts on the impact of our destructive consumerism and penchant for collecting doodads and stuff. Yesterday, I read something in passing that kind of illustrates this. America has something like 3% of the world's children and consumes 40% of the world's toys. That's a lot of junk, plastic or otherwise. Just junk. And that is just represents a portion of the consumerism related to children alone. We consume too much junk, nonessential junk.

that it, American children consume too much of the world's toys. ::)

While true, what he's saying is that he's an old dude who hasn't grown wiser as he's grown older.

I blame Santa.

Yes, the Elf Toymaker Conspiracy, with its nexus at the World Toy Making Party Headquarters near the North Pole with the allegedly "jolly" fat head Elf, Santa, mocks us every year with his haunting "Ho Ho Ho" slur against wymenz, festooned with jingle bells and fur trimmed haberdashery. Backed up by his gang of horned goons led by Rudolf the Red.

I say nuke 'em from orbit, It's the only way to be sure.

I, for one, am seeing the devastating effects. Two weeks ago I was freezing. This week it's hot. Because of this I started doing some research which included, among other things, some concrete blocks and wire fence. I've determined that marijuana smoke is one of the number one causes of manmade climate change. I call for it to be stopped NOW!!!!

I might need a disgronificater to parse this.
There were only two options for gender. At last count there are at least 12, according to libs. By that standard, I'm a male lesbian.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’, they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas, U.S. Socialist Party presidential candidate 1940, 1944 and 1948

"America is like a healthy body and its resistance is threefold: its patriotism, its morality, and its spiritual life. If we can undermine these three areas, America will collapse from within."  Stalin
