Laura PourMeADrink (16,884 posts) http://www.democraticunderground.com/1018706126So...did anyone have a brother drunk from a party stumble inon Christmas Eve - just as a priest was over blessing the perogies and kielbasa? He slept on a blanket by the washer and dryer in the basement and was gone before dawn. Didn't think so. Is this the worst holiday story??

Well shitall the times we had Christmas Eve dinner at my son's house, my (Polish) DIL never had the priest there blessing the kielbasa and pierogi and kapusta and fried fish, etc. Although we did exchange some special Polish saying before we ate, so maybe that's an alternative if all the priests are off blessing other peoples' dinners? In any case, they moved out of state this past January and so this was the first time in many years we didn't get to have Xmas Eve dinner with them. Made me sad.
One year a priest came over to visit my daughter and her friend on Christmas eve, then a few years later he was charged with "inappropriate behavior" with others.
I shouldn't laugh but that was funny the way you laid it out there
Too bad we can't get a video of Big Mo's Christmas dinner.
