Okay, to be fair, I stopped reading there. Maybe DU is better than I think. I will try and read the rest of the post now.

On edit: there is nothing to change my original assessment.

I do not feel sorry for this guy, he lets a known victimizer continue to be able to victimize others. And he brags about it on DU.

Nice guys don't rape, so when prism says this was a nice guy he is delusional because he knows it is not true.

How messed up do you have to be to go on a website claiming to have been raped and act like it was no big deal, such a small deal in fact that you are more worried about the rapist getting in trouble?

He/it is part of the whole "sensitive" class so it's different, you need to think about the feelings of the rapist.  The Shawshank redemption would've been a much happier tale if Andy dufrane took the emotions of his attackers into account. What a jerk.

You're mostly right but also...

Many of the rape thread at DU involve discussions (as close as those pant-hooting idiots can come to actual discussion) about victim-blaming, I.e. is it a girl's fault for getting blackout drunk and waking up naked in the frat house?
