12. I'm curious how you can get a job offer as an RN when you just started nursing school
and were shopping for your first stethoscope for clinicals a few months ago:

Received offers for jobs. As soon as I pass my NCLEX, I will start working. The offer i have is for Jan 2014.
I see you keep tabs on me. Are you doing the same to all the other posters Heddi? Your behaviour is really creepy.

17. Sure
I'm an RN. I know how long nursing school is. I know of no program where you're buying your first stethoscope in July and getting job offers for January.
I only pay attention to people whose stories are odiferous

20. You obviously cant read very well, can you!!
I started my CORE classes in Jan and will be done by the end of Dec! Maybe you should read my posts if you're actually saving them ( how creepy )
And obviously littman cardio wasn't my first stethoscope, I needed advice as far as upgrading from my Classic.
You really need to apologize. (But I won't hold my breath.)

22. You know, its not good for you to hate. Ive told you the same before.
Every time you tried to start arguments.
I feel bad for you.
Didn't she say she was dropping out of nursing school? Or was that another moonbat?
No, that was her.
I completed an accelerated nursing program, and nobody had a job offer in September. People thought that it was impressive that I was applying to jobs in October, and I was one of the few that had an interview within a couple weeks of graduation. Mind you, nobody was desperate enough about getting a job in September to be applying in Alaska
I'm just curious Celtic... how long was the accelerated program? If you don't wish to answer... no biggie... I am just curious. :cheersmate:
Started in January and ended in December. A little less than 12 months, but we needed to have a Bachelor's degree already and there was a fairly long list of pre-requisites that were required.
I actually had a BA in History, so it is more like I got all my Gen Ed requirements out of the way. There was a list of 9 pre-requisites that had to be completed as well like Microbiology, Anatomy, Physiology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, etc. They also expected a minimum GPA of 3.0 for all college courses. Basically the nursing program was strictly nursing related classes for three full semesters with clinicals several days a week as well.
:rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:
Another primitive caught lying.
Damn, life is good!
Reminds me of The Grapes of Wrath, when desperate people moved west based on handbills. Maybe the moron saw a flyer at school.Actually there is a company that is advertising in the American Journal of Nursing for people to work overseas. But I doubt that the primitive will get hired as they want someone with experience.
I will fall back on the Coach's First Rule; DUmmys lie, they lie all the time.
...The Heddiprimitive might be a CVN.

Just curious, would you be working in the ED?

The darlanglenumbered primitive never did say what type of nurse.
The type is Registered Nurse. They don't have degrees for endoscopy, E.R., etc., it's all RN. The only nurse specialties I know of are Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Anesthetist. If I'm wrong, CR will tell me. My mom and my first ex are nurses and I have a cousin who's a Nurse Anesthetist. I question the DUmmies claims, though. That's way too damn soon to be getting offers.
I think her specialty is working on ED.Erectile Dysfunction?
Erectile Dysfunction?
Never mind, I don't want to know.

I take the state nursing boards tomorrow, and while I have been looking, there have been no solid offers as of yet, because I do not yet have a license. I highly doubt that she got a job offer while still in school. I am also pretty sure that anywhere willing to pay to relocate anyone will want experience. I was the most marketable person in my class due to my class standing and my military medical experience and the offers are not pouring in right now.Good for you. I'm sure it will take a little time afterwards, before something comes up.
Nobody in their right mind would extend an offer to a student.
Good for you. I'm sure it will take a little time afterwards, before something comes up.Thanks! It takes around 48 hours for your name to show up on the list around here, so my job hunt should start back up on Monday.
I hope you're willing to relocate. That seems to trip people up.
Have fun tomorrow. :-)

I married military so relocation was part of the wedding vows. :-)
Good luck, milady. You'll do fine. :cheersmate:Thank you. :)

With your background and obvious intelligence, I'm sure you'll pass with flying colors, so congratulations as well.
