Did we say bagpipes? I love Amazing Grace played on a bagpipe. I may have to lookup some bagpipe love songs, I bet they are beautiful.

Update from Facebook that I have to share. I asked a MA friend what the good word was inside the battle lines, here is what she said (warning: bouncy friend of a friend story!)

Quote
OMG...LOL! You have to go watch the ads. My guy took his youngest daughter to get her hair done the other day, and he asked the stylist who she was voting for. She said Scott Brown, and proceeded to talk about Coakley talking out both sides of her mouth. About seven other women were in there and all said they were voting for Brown and can't STAND Coakley! ROFL! The Dems here are scared. This is the first serious challenge to the party since JFK. That's why Obama will be speaking here on Sunday. The hope is it will increase the black vote enough to push her over. That's all they can count on now.

I'm psyched.....  :hyper:

I'm sorry to hear you are stuck at work Mr. Sparky. Hopefully you're making more money though.

And Mrs. Schade, a rump ranger is the same thing as a pillow biter, or a pile driver, or a salad tosser...need I go on?

Oh. And I'm pleased you like the song. Many people do not so it's always a gamble posting it.

Also, I may be dating myself since I saw this flick in the theaters, but the tune has always stuck with me, becoming a sort of personal anthem.

I think Aaron Burr may be new but he definitley has a proclivity for the Sex and Boozehound group (an elite group, don't let anyone tell you any different). If it weren't for S & B, this would be just another conservative site. I did not see Rumblefish, though it was definitely well within my timeframe. Cool Song.

Go get it on Netflix. Well worth the viewing, even today. And Madame, thanks for the compliment, were my bloated and corrupt body capable of a galvanic skin response I assure you I would be blushing. I wonder though, if you would still feel the same were you to click on the thread above this one.

Anyway, I'm off to the circle K for some sterno and mixer. I'll be back shortly to see if there is anybody left to inflict video torture upon.

In the meantime, here's a home movie. I think the pancake makeup helps make me look less cadaverous.

Hey sterno was half off tonight! Mmmmmm.

Anyway, I doubt very much that we've ever met before as I tend to avoid daylight, legitimate business establishments, and/or anyplace that doesn't require the password "Wino Bob sent me" to get in.

Nevertheless, the Arctic Monkeys are a very good band, but I'm sure the members on this site would prefer to see something a bit more patriotic.

Not a problem.

Damn, I was thinkin' that the Sterno was top shelf stuff. They never put top shelf stuff on half off, so that can't be it.

Your kinda Sterno gives me a headache, but not before I bust out in marching band songs:

I happen to know -- at least from having read a few of her posts -- that Ms. Schadenfreude, aka "Schadie", is a seductress in her own right. You've probably been seduced and don't even realize it yet.

So to that end, I'm going to congratulate both of you on a job well done.

I don't have the audio so you'll have to take my word for it when I say that I played Sousa's "Semper Fidelis" march in honor of you two.

It's the least I could do.

Mr. Euphore, thanks for your serenade. I found your photo to be fascinating. What kind of trombone is that? It seems to have extra loopy bits. Also, your trombone seems to have been accessorized, nice touch.

My favorite Souza....wait a second.

That's not a trombone it's a EUPHONIUM isn't it! I can't tell you how frustrating it's been trying to figure out your screen name.

Anyway, once I pick up Mrs.Schade in my classic C-20, I figured I'd take her down to the nearest crossroads and conjure up Old' Scratch on my cigar box guitar....unless BadCat builds one of these things first.

Really, we should form a C.C. band and get Mrs.Schade to be our go-go dancer.

Hmm. I'm not sure who that imitation Schadenfreude is, that Schadentation. But it looks like she'll fit right in the crock pot.

Anyway, I thought I'd set the mood with a little romantic music, maybe some sterno highballs, wait for the moon to come out...fangs start to grow...you know, the usual foreplay.

My favorite part of the guitar build was the sink drains for sound holes. LOVE THAT!!!!!!ELEVENTY!!!LllLLL The volume and distortion knobs were a little loud, though. Gotta tone those down with a box that small.

I'll tell ya, Schadie looks ready, if'n ya know what I mean. The git-tar is tuned, ain't it? The writhing shall commence any moment, it looks like.

Um, no, the pic above is me puttin' in some time on my bass trombone. (Bass trombones have extra bits up top -- sorta like some of the CC gals, I suspect.)

And the accessories are my fan club. (I have only 3 members - the two parrots and Mrs E, who snapped the photo.)

I think you'd be my fourth fan. I'll get Mrs. E to send you the address where you can send your two Rice Krispies box tops for your autographed pic of me and the secret decoder ring.

Uh, I think that B string just went a bit flat. Need to tighten it up a bit.

I've been workin' on my eyebrows with this one. Only 4 more inches to go:

Hellfire. I'll stick with the trumpet, but I've always wanted to give the trombone a shot. The case they come in looks big enough to hide all sorts of stuff that would most likely be used later as evidence against Mrs.Schade and I after we knock over the circle K on our way home from the deserted reservoir.

Also, that soloist looks like he's been raiding my closet.

How are you with the classics?

Not too fond of that one. The backbeats are enough to try the patience of Job. I had to take a pill. And that trombone player was drunk - I can tell. Did you give him that can of Sterno that I had bequeathed to you? Shame on you if you did. It was some really special stuff.

No, as far as trombone goes, I like this kinda stuff that follows. Dick Shearer, the lead trombonist, is undoubtedly the LOUDEST trombone player that ever walked the planet. And he was somewhat reserved in this one.

This is Willie Maiden's "A Little Minor Booze" in honor of our fixation on Sterno. Stan Kenton fronts his megaband in 1972.

You would also have to put up with my quirks.  :lmao:

And you'd have to put up with mine.

Oh, wait--you said "quirks", not "kinks".  Damn.  That's okay, I can still deal.

I feel as though Eupher and AB are doing their best to school me in this thread..... I feel woefully out of my element and realize I need to get some more culture in my life.

What? Nothing could be farther from the truth my dear Schadenator. Actually, I was planning on using you as an alibi.

Anyway. Mr. Euphor dug up a true classic with Stan the Man. But Don Drumond and the fellers from studio one did the best they could with what they had. Which is to say, nothing. Jamaica didn't have a lot of musical resources, or even musical instruments in the early 60's. The stuff you're hearing was played on instruments too beat up for the salvation army, and by self taught musicians who couldn't even read music.

But we can move on (ahem) from the sterno and right into moth balls. They're pretty crunchy. Like this tune.

Remember when you used to think I was high maintenance? Just think about how cheap a date I am that I am entertained by the cost of a Computer/mouse/keyboard/internet connection.  :p

I'm sure Mrs. Schade uses broad band.

But who's cheaper? Mrs. Schade, or us, who need only a sizzling avatar to make us contemplate dropping our collective pants around our ankles.

Um...I'm just sayin'.

Of course I do and Randy should know that.  :-)

Yes I should and I should be spanked!  :naughty:

Yes you do! Even though I'll bow out on the collective part, sorta sounds a wee bit of the gehyish.  :rotf:

:lmao: Hey, have you been by Schade's place? Anything going on that warrants admin intervention? How was your new year... how is it down in sunny FL?

Made me go look didn't you?  :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: No ones been there to say anything since I was there last ;)

It's finally nice again around here. Mid 70's the last couple of days. It was e-vile cold the first 2 weeks of the new year. Of course I was gone most of that where it was even worse  :lmao:

How's things in Minn? Ready for Spring Break at the beach?

Schade, I do believe you can be distracted by a few posts by a couple of guys on CC who are trying to outdo each other by posting esoteric, relatively obscure YouTube stuff. And if this is a date, I'm honored - truly.

But I think you're high maintenance. And I'll prove it to you.

How many times per month do you get your hair done? And what does it cost per trip?

Here we go! As it turns out 0 times per month, it's more like 1 time every 2 months (8wks). Yes, I do have some artificial work on it. How else would you get a two-tone? I think it runs about $135 for a cut and a color.

I don't currently have my nails done, though I have done it in the past, no massages, no foot treatments, no liposuction, no plastic surgery of any kind and no special-special kinds of chocolates.

And I ask you again what makes me high maintenance? The fact that I don't have Floyd give me a clipper cut at the corner barbershop for $10? :lmao:

Where did you go? I tell you, if you want to adopt a 47 year old.... I know of one and she would be happy to relocate.  :-)

The carrot guy is a KEEPER! Love that!

But, with today being Sunday an' all, football bein' on the tube, it's probably time for PDQ Bach.

It's a real slugfest between Heilige Dankesan and the New York Mills Philharmonic. Bobby Corno winds up getting traded and the oboe player spends time in the penalty box for failing to observe a cut.

And I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to enlighten you with a very charming performance of Mozart's "Queen of the NIght" aria from the Magic Flute opera.

Florence Foster Jenkins was an honest-to-God rich lady who actually put on various recitals. She had the money to pay for not only her accompanist, but probably the audience.
