In the 22 years I've been in my home, I've had significant water damage twice. Both times a restoration company (never heard it called a "remediation company") had to be called in and both times the insurance company paid all associated costs minus deductible.
I guess it's because I'm a straight, white male.
Then again, I have good coverage with a reputable company and not questional coverage with "My Cousins Insurance Co" like 1DumbBoy has. This primitive has said in the past that he makes lots of bling-bling. I suppose he gets to spend some of it for buying lousy insurance.
Hey 1DumbBoy: Buy cheap, buy twice.

8. The worst part is they have never, even been out to the house to inspect the damage.
And then there's the adjuster's "My job is to get you as much as I can" comments.
While the insurance company will rely on what the restoration company reports as being damaged, I've never heard of an adjuster not coming out to inspect the damage. Maybe if the cost of repairs is below a certain threshold they don't bother. Primitives lie, so no doubt there's more to the story, like the truth.
