you know I know a bit about this having issues in my feet myself including osteoarthritis and a bone spur on the top of my foot that I am having removed soon. That said the diabetes may cause the neuropathy or loss of feeling but let's face it what's causing the fracture in his foot is the extreme obesity. My brother is a diabetic too and one who has been one since he was a child and he is a modest weight and while he has issues with his feet healing he doesn't have a problem with fractures because he's not obese. In addition it tells me that he has done absolutely no regular maintenance or checks on his feet before this. To have allowed them to get so bad one of the routines of my brother and his wife who are both diabetic or to check your feet regularly to be sure they have no issues in them but like I said internal issues like fractures don't happen because both he and his wife or a normal weight. don't get me started on the insanity of the high carb diet either that was insanity from the get go and I believe I had even told lvl when he visited the cave of my brother situation and how carbs will absolutely out of the question to that extent

If I'm right that gangrene can be observed in its early stage before too much damage is done, I suspect Kirk noticed it too, but being the self-pitying lump he is, he just let it go.  Despondent suicide wish, or an opportunity for him to get himself permanently on the public dole, with no necessity for future time-consuming bureaucratic "reviews" of his condition?

And we also have the TheMastersNumbskull primitive, who's obviously brighter and more perceptive than Kirk, doing the exact same thing.

Gawd, the monstrous things people'll do for a ****ing welfare check.

I think that a requirement would be to be able to see one's feet before they can figure out if that sore is really a problem or not.

I can't claim to be perfect. However, I have been able to manage my diabetes and keep it at type 2 for 11 years now. While the doctor isn't happy about my weight, I haven't gained any and I can still get around quite well. I didn't lay on my lazy ass for years at the taxpayers expense and only make my situation worse.

That's the problem with this DUmmy. He has no incentive to do anything but lay on his ass and let it get worse. He does have his own skin n the game but is too stupid and lazy to even try to do anything about it. I really hope that he eventually sees the light and tries to correct his situation. However, with his entitlement attitude and liberal/commie/democrat dregs that he calls friends, that probably won't happen.
I was on 2 pills a day to manage my type II diabetes. After 2 years of regular exercise and better eating choices I got down to one a day and now the doctor has me off the pills entirely.

Getting off the meds can be done but it requires effort.
