"Sure the Taliban scumbags are despicable but so are the so called 'lone wolf' Xtian men who shoot up schools, malls and cinemas with regularity in the USA?"
OMG, words cannot describe how heartless, hypocritical, and flat- out STUPID that comment alone is, but I'll try to make a few notes:
1. Of course, malaise only gives a token condemnation of the Taliban's savage, barbaric actions, instead choosing to focus on shootings in the US which, while heartbreakingly tragic, had MUCH lower death tolls than this attack.
2. Contrary to malaise's bigoted assertion, I can't recall a single recent shooting massacre in the USA committed by a fundamentalist Christian. The people who committed those kinds of acts in the USA recently were pretty much all just demented psychopaths with no clear religious beliefs of any kind (I'm leaving out the Boston Marathon bombers, because malaise seemed to focus on shootings rather than bombings in that comment). However, it should be noted that James Holmes (The 'Dark Knight Rises' movie theater shooter) was an ultra- liberal, an Anarchist, more specifically one of the notoriously violent and lawless "Black bloc" Anarchists, and a dedicated veteran member of the Occupy Wall Street movement; It's rather widely believed that his shooting may have been partially motivated by anger over the fact that the movie could be seen as critical of the Occupy movement and its beliefs.
3. This malaise scumbag uses the massively offensive anti- Christian slur term "Xtians" for no real reason.
4. Malaise earns extra dick- points for indirectly implying that the Taliban's massacre was partially justified by the way they were targeted by the army. Notice he does not use that kind of quasi- justification for any of the other shooters.
