Have you ever been bullied by a parent with Dimentia? I have and I want to tell you my story

You all know me very well. I have been here a long time. But what you do not know is what I go through when I log off. All of my life, I have been the victim of a parent who gets a sick pleasure in bullying people. At first, I ignored the signs because I thought this was something that African-American parents do, but as I have made this journey through my life I have learned from other family members that the person in question, my grandmother has been a bully all of my life.

So I wanted to put my story out there and see how many of you have gone through what I am going through now. My grandmother has always been a user, a manipulative person, sarcastic, demanding, and very controlling. It's been in her personality for as long as I can remember. Now that she's gotten older, I had hoped that her attitude and her behavior at how she's been treating me would improve, but from my observation they have gotten worse. When she can't get her way, she starts being abusive and she starts cursing and what I notice she's doing now is physically threatening me with harm when she can't get her way. The first time I came here and I put up with that for more than a year, I got fed up and moved out.

I found that living on my own was tough as I was falling behind with finances but I was happy. I could get up when I wanted to, go to bed when I wanted to, leave and come back when I wanted to, but then she got looney and begged for me to come back. Despite every fiber in my being telling me that I should not come back, reality forced me to move back so I did. That turned out to be a huge mistake as I have had to contend with physical and verbal abuse from her literary every day. Although her doctor says she has no signs of dementia, I know better because I see it. Most of the day I am either working on a tv project or my novel, or a film idea, so I do not keep up with what she does with her things. When she looses her things and she does a lot, all of a sudden, I am expected to know where they are when I do not have a clue what she's done with things. Then she gets frustrated with me, because I'm expected to keep up with all her things. You can not talk to her and try to explain things to her. She also loves gossiping about people. I have never met anyone who knows everything that goes on in the county. When I refuse to gossip she goes off on me.

This morning she had the nerve to speak for God by saying that quote, I'm going to be dead in ten years and she will be glad when I die. That hurt me so bad. That was twice in two days she told me something like that. I made up my mind this morning that I'm moving out and I'm moving out for good. I would like to know has anyone else been through anything similar with their loved ones who are like my grandmother?

Do you think I'm making the right decision by leaving at the end of the month?

Please DU I need your thoughts and prayers tonight

I am sorry I haven't been around. I have spent the last few months hard at work on several books. One of which I submitted to a publisher a few weeks ago. Tonight I got word that I made it past stage one. My book "Space Diaries" a science fiction novel has made it to round two. You can imagine how excited I am about this development. If I make it past round two, I will get a contract. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. This is the first positive news I have had in a while.

Thoughs and Prayers are needed

Democratic underground, I have a meeting with a major executive producer who has been in he business for a long time. I've done my homework verified that the guy is real. My manager is super excited about this. We don't know which of my four movies and my five television projects he's interested in. This could be my big break. Super excited and nervous. If he takes me on, I'll have to go to New York but I can deal with that.

Please pray for me. Very nervous about this meeting.

Update: I just heard back from the producer's people. They are really interested in two of my TV projects. "First Gentleman" a political drama centering in on the husband of the first African American President of the United States and "Liberty Street Sisters" think of it as Desperate Housewives meets Scandal.

The call is happening on Wednesday.

Thought I should update you on the call I had with the Producers

It not only went well, it went exceptional. They were so impressed with the way my manager handled the call and how I conducted myself as soon as I described the series they were interested in, I swear I could almost hear them wetting themselves on the phone. The Producers gatekeeper reached out to me later in the day and told me that he had never seen his boss so excited about a project and how far along we were.

As of this morning I have been asked to prepare a full package for the studio. My manager and I have been on the phone almost every day this week. He's got 30 years in the business and he tells me there's an 80 percent chance we are going to have a sale. So let me shut my mouth, get off here so I can get to work on preparing this package. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. I'm so humbled this morning. Cheers.

Want some cool news re: My TV series Liberty Street Sisters

All my hard work has paid off. My manger called me just then to report that he has submitted my series to the studio. If they option it they already have a network looking for a show just like what I had been developing. It's not going to be under my real name it will be under a pen name I'm using. Wish me luck you guys I'm so excited about this.

So we went from a science fiction novel to several movies and TV shows back to something called "Liberty Street Sisters," which is derivative of something already on TV. Let's leave aside that Cordell's Twitter feed contains NOT A WORD or all of this interest he's supposedly gotten. Now he's wasting his precious time worrying about a nasty old Cali-style leech.

Cordell: why not write a movie script about a crotchety old black woman who abuses everyone? You could dress up like her, wig and all, and that would be a scream. Oh, wait. That's Tyler Perry. Nevermind.

DUmmie says, "I found that living on my own was tough as I was falling behind with finances but I was happy. I could get up when I wanted to, go to bed when I wanted to, leave and come back when I wanted to,....."

Liberal thinking is a two-legged stool and magical thinking is one of the legs, the other is a combination of self-loating and misanthropy.  To understand it, you would have to be able to sit on that stool while juggling two elephants, an anvil and a fragmentation grenade, sans pin.

The book might be true, since anyone, like Bill Pitt, can pay a vanity publisher to print however many copies you or your mother will buy.

The rest is fantasy like Jefferson's Ghost.

Most DUmmies can at least live in their parents' basement.

This one has to go to his grandmother.

A DUmmy tried that once.

The dealer DUmmy was too lazy to actually go out and sell the shit, and the other DUmmies felt they were entitled to redistribution of his wealth based on their "need".

The dealer DUmmy was last seen going off the stern of a tugboat with a truck axle chained to his ankles.
