It's both pathetic and sad.
First of all, one freely admits it's the Robinsons' site, and they're free to use it as they wish. It's true that "other people" pay for it, in their donations, but they're not coerced donations.
Secondly, all decent and civilized people owe a debt of gratitude to freerepublic; it was the first, and biggest, place on the internet where Republicans and conservatives could express their values and opinions.
There's of course now a deluge of conservative and Republican message-boards, but they all sprang from.....freerepublic.
Okay.
But the owners and many of the members--not
all the members, no way--have always seemed to lack any sense of humor. There's always been a lot of old grouches on freerepublic, and alas their numbers seem to have increased the past, oh, six or seven years.
When one's the "out" party or group, that's the
last time one should lack a sense of humor.
I always had the impression the owners of freerepublic didn't care much for the
DUmmie FUnnies.....despite that it's been one of the top, if not the top itself, attractions there.
Maybe the
DUmmie FUnnies aren't the owners' taste, but hey, certainly any feature, any writer, who brings traffic to a site, should be tolerated, indulged.
