and sh*t still continues....St. Louis bar boycotts Rams after players support Ferguson protests


A local St. Louis bar’s announcement that it would no longer support the Rams following the silent protest of several players on Sunday has gained national attention.

The post was made on Facebook Monday morning and has been liked almost 40,000 times, generating over 6,500 comments.

The bar followed up their first statement by announcing their allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs, and noted that happy hour will continue whenever there are Chiefs games.

The bar’s Yelp page has been inundated by reviewers disagreeing with their stance.

“There’s sports fanaticism, then there’s short-sightedness,and then there’s hateful childish behavior that has no business in business,” one comment read.

On Monday, the NFL said it would not adhere to a request from the St. Louis Police Officer’s Association to discipline the players who made the “hands up, don’t shoot” pose used by protesters in Ferguson, Mo. during pre-game introductions on Sunday.

Rams executive vice president and chief operations officer Kevin Demoff also commented on the actions of his players.

“We do believe it is possible to both support our players’ First Amendment rights and support the efforts of local law enforcement as our community begins to heal.”

The moronic Rams players should be celebrated for their free speech supporting St. Swisher. 

However, this bar owner is a racist for demonstrating his free speech rights.

Yet when someone expresses themselves in a manner that we done like; we complain. Agree with it or disagree with it, the owners of the bar are expressing themselves.

petty was the bar owner--yes, the person had a right to make that decision. but WE have the right to comment on that decision. surely that is not such a difficult concept.
