As a kid, I watched "Highway Patrol".

If Broderick Crawford went three weeks or so without shaving, he'd look a little like Steve Dawes, only not as sloppy fat.

Who, Omaha Steve? Hell, no.

He was involuntarily transferred from the Omaha Water & Sewer Department to the Police Dept because of his disability, brought on from fishing too many tampons from the poo water (hat tip to Jeremy Clarkson).

A lot of people with terminal illnesses seem to die quicker after retiring, than people who continue working.

10-7 = Leaving service, outta here.

Usually preceded by 10-10/10-8 and "all them good numbers."

I actually lived the CB craze.  I can do all them thar 10 codes.

And watch out for Uncle Charlie and keep your bumper clean.  That shiny side up and mud-side down and do NOT slow down for shakeytown!

The only thing he has to hang his hat on is turning the natural gas utility over to the state.  Not sure how that will play in Ferguson, but I'm sure there are lots of spooky cemeteries there for Steve and Marta to play in.
